Movie Request Time!!! Centurion - 2010 - Director - Neil Marshall - Staring - Michael Fassbender - "This film is based on a 2000 year-old legend", referring to the mysterious disappearance of the Ninth Hispana or Ninth Spanish Legion in Roman-occupied Britain around 117 CE. Three reasons you should watch this Sir. One - On-location filming: Mainly Scotland. - Two - No CG/Green Screens. Practical effects. And that's stunts , fight choreography, and makeup. - And Three - The performances from the cast. They faced significant physical hardships during filming, including near-freezing temperatures, challenging stunts,(The actors did their own stunts!!) and the need to perform in freezing water. They also had to learn new skills like sword fighting, archery, and horse riding. Bonus - It's only 1 hr-37m , so it moves quick and has , IMO , some of the best sword/shield battles I have ever seen. And they are BRUTAL!
