When I first started dating my husband he was always playing that with his friends. I thought it was some dorky ish. But I wanted to play with him and try to get into something he enjoyed. Bought the game and immediately played for 10 hours straight, minus bathroom breaks and preparing something to eat (which I ate while playing). It consumed my life for a bit (okay, several years). Had an awesome guild and made some great friends. For the Horde!!!

2025-04-17 17:57:44 +0000 UTCAs someone from a Nordic country I'll admit some of the inaccuracies drive me insane (only slaves had shorn hair like Ragnar and Björn) but there's a lot of good in the first few seasons as well. Travis Fimmell is always interesting (and he's in the Dune prequel series on HBO as well, hint, hint). Ravens are very intelligent creatures! 😄 They're associated with Odin who could hear and see everything that happened in Midgard through them. The interesting thing about more warlike cultures is that women often had a better social standing and more freedoms, since they were expected to protect and run the home while the men were away.

Back to a violent , bloody , smelly, unhygienic Age of Wonder : ] I do remember hearing good things about the show , just never got to it. As long as we can get some damn good sword fights , and plenty of blood now and then , I'm down for it.
