😂😂😂 Talking about the rough cuts and film quality of those old movies. Back when the vast majority were lucky if they had indoor plumbing or the classic AM radio. Seeing a film like that was damn near magical. Especially when that specific movie came out around the time of the Dust Bowl in the early 30’s.

Can I just say something corny real quick. I love to see so many people interacting and responding to comments. I love our little community of people. We can joke, be serious, disagree, and it's still done with nothing but respect to one another. Hope you all like my cheesy corn lol!

Absolutely goddamn right! Still never had to do Jury Duty , but I would imagine it would be Boresville if I were high. A funeral though , not at all. I take my flask , and go to the smoking area after condolences. No grass though. : ]

Annnd we're done!! Damn good reaction Sir! I honestly laughed when you said "This is another character I can't wait for them not to be here." Not in a bad way of course. I actually enjoy this episode for Carm most of all. Once she starts tossin shots , and Janice starts up , Strap the fuck in! Oh , the actor you said , "Oh this guy's famous." Would be Joe Pantoliano. (AKA Joey Pant's) Been in tons of TV and Film. Get used to him , he plays Ralph Cifaretto. He was part of Richie's crew.(The guy Janice shot) Another reason I enjoy this episode is the use of the film Public Enemy. I have a very soft spot for some B&W films. (Horror mostly , but some old Gangster stuff , and a bunch of juvenile delinquent films of the 50's. Gotta love that slang Daddy-O : ] ) I am glad you enjoyed the episode overall , and the pace will quicken I assure you. ; ] Excited to see what the next drop will be! Peace

Sopranos time again!!!! Tonight's Episode - Proshai, Livushka First , we all thank you for taking the time to fix the reaction! *Yaahhhh So glad you did as this is an important one. And it has one of my favorite Carmella bit's as well as her father. It's nice to be reminded that Carm is NOT to be fucked with. And Christopher's weird druggie tangent just adds to how fucked up the whole thing really is. And speaking of such things , Checklist Time - Fatty rolled and ready - Check - Beer freezer cold - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check - Bonus - Freezer cold double shot of Patron for Nancy. *Hands out shots - " To Nancy Marchand , Thanks for entertaining us!" *slams shot Peace

Tony is so likable until he isn’t. And isn’t. And isn’t. I think they needed to bring the kid Noah into Tony’s living room, to remind us viewers that Tony for all his charm, is a thug.

They actually had planned a new storyline for Tony’s mother, which would have had her testifying against him. Her fight with cancer, and then a sooner-than-expected death, changed the season substantially. You’ll see some sub-plots that are a result of Livie’s death.

Nancy Marchand (Tony’s mom Livia was being treated for cancer during the previous season and had asked show runner Davis Chase to keep her working as long as possible. After she died, her final scene with Tony was pieced together from previously recorded lines, and then CGI was used to place Livia’s face onto a body double. Not bad for 20 years ago! I miss her character. She and Uncle Junior were two favorites.

A couple of scenes in Public Enemy, was used in the movie Scarface. Changed a little of course. When Tony(Montana) goes to visit his mother and sister, he tries to give them money but his mother throws him out. In Public Enemy it's the main character' mother and brother and the brother throws him out. But it's more or less the same scene.

So Nancy Marchand, who played Livia Soprano, died in real life, which caused the abrupt departure of the character from the show, which is probably why this episode feels somewhat out of place during the ramp up of season three. Do you feel worse about wishing for the character to be gone now? 😂
