They did show Venom at the post credit scene of No way Home, maybe just to show that he was a in different verse of the universe. Thats the only connection I recall

Every movie you've seen a certain actor and wondered if they were famous. It was Bruce Campbell each time. The wrestling announcer, the theatre usher, and the restaurant waiter. Sam Rami and Bruce are practically best friends going back to the evil dead days.

I'm sure a lot of your questions were answered in previous comments. It's funny because I would have definitely pegged you as a comic book nerd based on your appearance, personality and the fact that you are so nerdy when it comes to so many other things lol

so a few things. there was definitely a lot of forced emotional nonsense and choices that didn't make much sense. they didn't flesh out the story on the symbiote. the black sludge alien character is known as "Venom" there are a couple of venom movies in more recent times. a kind of reboot following that character, that explains things much better.
there are another 3 Spiderman movies i believe. another reboot before the marvel cinematic version you saw alongside the avengers and such.

Venom movie trilogy will explain a lot about the symbiote. Essentially it is an alien species that has a collective hive mind (hence why Eddie knew things instantly when connected). Venom trilogy is great and explores the lore of the symbiotes a lot more, while also forging its own path of story.

This film is one you could say has hit cult like status. It was heavily criticized upon release for the iffy writing and crammed feel of the movie too many plot lines, villains etc. Director Sam Raimi wanted a story about SandMan while Sony wanted to do the black suit (Venom) and they forced him to add it when he stated he didn’t really understand the character fully. In reality he did sort of understand Venom, it’s just too much for one film alone so thus it crashed this run of films and lead to a reboot. However today it’s found a steady audience and even Sam Raimi has came around to it

Venom has movie trilogy but it's really not that good after the first one. It's also not connected to anything. Please do not detour from the amazing spider-man 1 and 2 to watch the venom movies. There is no continuity to the spider-man movies. Its a waste of time. Everyone would rather you watch tasm 1 and 2 so you can finally watch no way home.

And we're done with Tobey's Spider-Man! Garfield's version, up next, is one of my favorite depictions of Peter.
Definitely watch the first two Venoms, preferably after TASM 1 & 2, to get some background on the character.

That black goo is an alien named venom from a race called symbiote. They bond with organic life to stay alive and in return give extreme strength speed and amplifies your aggression. Venom hates spider-man because he considers him the perfect host but Peter rejected him.so venom bonded with Eddie brock who also hates Peter.

Maybe it's nordic country bias, but I do believe everyone has a right to free healthcare. You can't expect parents to follow laws if it means they have to watch their children die. Society has to be fair and humane in order for the social contract to stand.
Really a powerfully written "villain", and I can't believe how good that scene of him trying to pick up his daughter's locket still looks, and how hard it hits every time.

I love this movie. It's gotten a lot of flack from people who thought that "evil" Peter was lame, but that's the whole point! He's such a thoroughly good and thoroughly uncool person that that's the most his evil version amounted to.
Raimi was forced to add Venom to the pot by which is why the story feels so crowded, but he did a fantastic job of weaving all the different elements together in a way that still served the greater theme of forgiveness. IMO that's an impressive feat compared to so many movies that buckle under studio demands completely. And we got that fantastic scene in the cathedral.

I think He is using other sand sources to get big, then gets back to regular size when he's done being big. That's why when he emerges from the truck with sand his is big, but as the sand blows/falls off his body he reverts back to size.

With Andrew Garfield's Spiderman being a reboot, and considering how intriqued you were with the black goo, I think you might really enjoy watching Venom before starting the other Spiderman movies. The vibe for Venom is also way different than this spidey version and Tom Hardy is GLORIOUS! Also, there is no MCU overlap yet, so it won't spoil anything for you
About the love interests, it is unfortunately a staple in the comics so there is no getting away with it (plus, the cynic in me says it also brings in the female audience that may not be otherwise inclined)

Annnnd we're done! A Total Banger Sir!! I did not expect you to enjoy it as much as you did. Oh , the black goo is a sentient alien symbiote with an amorphous, liquid-like form, who survives by bonding with a host, usually human. This dual-life form receives enhanced powers and usually refers to itself as "Venom". He is a huge fan favorite , and the studio kind of pushed Sam to have him in the film. There are 3 films in the Venom series staring Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom. However , not part of the MCU yet. I enjoyed the films , but Venom would have been better rated R IMO. As to a Spider-Man 4 , Nope. The next one is The Amazing Spider-Man - 2012 - Staring Andrew Garfield. They decided to hit the reset button there. After that will be The Amazing Spider-Man 2 - 2014 - Also with Andrew Garfield. After that , it's back to where we left off with the MCU. Hope that helps a bit for watch order. I'm just glad as hell you had such a great time with this one! See ya for the next drop Sir! Peace

It’s a really good movie in general and there was supposed to be a 4th film but it was canceled. There are 2 more spider-man movies with a different actor but they’re pretty good as well. Personally, they’re both a 7/ 10.

Hell Yeah! It's Spidey Time again!!! There has been a debate about this one since it came out. One camp more or less thinks it sucks. The other says it's the best. I've been part of that debate since it was released. Personally , I think it's a damn good flick. But I also know how much the Studio fucked with Sam on this one. But , overall I think you'll have a damn fun time with this one Sir. Ok , Checklist Time - Fatty's rolled and ready - Check - Beer freezer cold - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Time for some serious web slinging fun!! Peace
