As someone who grew up a HP fan, I think you're right that this was pretty much exactly what I wanted from the franchise. I really liked this one! Much more than the HP movies which I can't stand as a fan of the books. Unfortunately this series fell off a cliff in terms of quality and I doubt they'll even finish it. Also, seeing Colin Farrell turning into Johnny Depp the first time was the most physical experience of disappointment I've ever had. 😂 What a downgrade!

He’s also basically dumbledores bf but they fell out when grindelwald and dumbledore brother got in a fight that ended with dumbledores sister dying which is y the brother said all that stuff in deathly hallows the book broke down that that’s wat he was screaming about in the cave scene before he died in half blood prince the potion makes u relive ur worst memories and it was his lover torturing his brother and his sister dying from their battle

2025-01-21 08:08:13 +0000 UTCThe only thing I didn't really like about this movie is that Grindelwald was basically only mentioned in the intro newspaper and at the end. Felt pointless. Grindelwald was shown for 1 second in the first HP7 movie when they are talking about the location of the "elder wand." He stole it when he was younger before it ended up with Dumbledore. In the 7th book he had more lore so maybe your wife could give you some spoiler free background info. These movies would make more sense with it.
