GODFATHER 3 FULL REACTION

GODFATHER 3 FULL REACTION

Comments

wow, truly could not predict the ending. I think the title was suppose to have you thinking "okay, who's gonna do it?" throughout the film. It did it's job. great reaction. some extra depth added, knowing that Michael's wanting to protect his daughter and force the cousin relationship apart is DIRECTLY responsible for why she died. had he not intervened, she would not have been in THAT position at THAT time, to have gotten shot. Seems darkly poetic somehow. Please note that I am not advocating for the cousin relationship nonsense. I've babbled enough. Very entertaining sir.

Mister_Bleak

I brought my own shopping cart.

I forgot how boring this can get towards the end. It's fine but only fine, not great like 1 and 2.

Again asking if it's Messina, it's Corleone a few hours south of Palermo in western Sicily. Pretty sure Messina is on the eastern side of the island.

gak9319

You know, the criminals on crosses next to Jesus. The whole mantra of forgiveness. Personally I'm with you on this one. But as far as I understand that's the source of the "unconditional forgiveness" thing😅

Yes, Monday movies are for MCU and finishing sagas, every other week. Weekend movies are anything else lol. I'll see how I watch the rest of MCU together, I am not sure yet

Lenear Boyd

110% Good thing they don't have shopping carts. LMAO : ]

Madmanmarz1981

Not since Valley Girl , lol.

So , a question about Mondays. Are Monday's still going to be "Every other week " for Marvel and finishing Film Series? (Then different films for the weekend. )I know there's still The Hobbit films(3), The Terminator(I think 2 would be fine. As for the others , I can take or leave) , Alien (6-8) , Potter(3) , (Fantastic Beasts) , and not sure what else. Then for Marvel , 3 movies can be watched , (Black Widow , Shang Chi , and Eternals.) Then would you would do well to watch Wandavision ,(Honestly the only TV show you would really need to not be confused by things in Spidey and the other Dr. Strange film.) THEN , you need The Spider-Man films(5) before Spidey No Way Home and Dr. Strange and the Mulitverse Of Madness. After that , other than What If? not much else besides Wakanda Forever , and Guardians 3.(IMO) Just curious Sir: ]I am sure you'll give us a heads up. Peace

I felt like a child at Disneyland.

Susan B

Awwww yeah that Washington skunk. We have dispensaries everywhere and I am here for it!!

Denise Mattsen

The random petting of the gun by guy on train is an example of the dumbing-down of this film compared to the first two. “Will viewers know this is a killer?” “Have him pet his gun.”

Susan B

I have legal THC envy. Was in Seattle last year at age 68 and got to visit my first legal-weed pharmacy. It was a pure joy.

Susan B

Definitely needed Duvall as Tom Hayden here. Absent because of a couple million dollars, which seems silly considering what actors earn now. Pacino also wanted more money, but Coppola threatened to just start the film with Michael’s funeral and make the story about Vincent.

Susan B

Nicholas Cage was originally cast as Vincent. It would have been unwatchable. There are things Nick Cage can do, but romantic lead that a young girl gets a crush on? Nope.

Susan B

Although not a fan of the film overall, I think the opera as a setting and soundtrack for all of these deaths is beautifully done. There’s just way too much going on to keep up with which gray-haired assassin is which, and it becomes almost comical - yet Mary’s death is still the shock that it’s meant to be, even when you know what’s coming. The bullet actually goes through Michael’s arm and into his daughter. His silent scream is perfect. If you’ve ever been so horrified by something you’ve witnessed that you couldn’t draw the breath needed to make a sound, you know why his mouth is forming a scream that his lungs can’t deliver. And poor Kay in that moment - she has let her guard down, released her dread of Michael after many years of staying away, only to see her child die because of decisions Michael made. Another beautiful moment from Pacino is when Michael gives his confession: “I killed my father’s son. I killed my mother’s son.” Mr B I’ve always wanted to see Sicily, and I’d love to hear more about your time there. I have no connection to the place, but for some reason it has always seemed like the place I would choose to explore if I had weeks or months. So many cultures and so much history compacted into a single island that’s been invaded by everybody but me. Theatrical release had a better ending, btw: we see the flashback of Michael dancing with his daughter, and then with his Sicilian wife, and then with Kay when they were happy. Then the aged-up Michael puts on his glasses, slumps over in the chair, and falls onto the ground, with only the little dog at his side.

Susan B

Annd we're done! Damn good reaction Sir!! And I do like this a bit better than the Theatrical Cut. It's a bit shorter (about 15 min.), and has a different beginning and ending. SPOILERS - Michael does die at the end of the Theatrical , this was just cut off at the end. He dies in his chair just after putting his glasses on. Alone. Also , this film was a plain old Cash Grab from the studio from the get go. (As was this cut for Coppola) Most fans and critics took the easy way out and blamed alot on Sophia Coppola as Mary , (Wynona Ryder was ill and had to drop out last min. Sophia did it for her Dad.)But comparing her acting to the rest of the cast , it makes her look like a 1st year drama student. She was "an easy mark" , as they say to blame. Also , Robert Duvall , (Tom Haggen) did not return mostly because the studio would not pay him enough in his opinion.(5 Million to Pacino and only 1 Million to him. And I agree with Duvall - He had since said he would have done it for 2-3 Million , even Coppola could not get the studio to ok it.) However , this biggest thing this film had going against it was simple.. The Godfather part's 1 and 2. No way any film could compete. Ok , that's about all I got worth mentioning IMO. : ] So I end by saying , the Reaction was better than the movie , Sir. However it was fun , and I am glad to have been a part of the viewing. Time for The Sopranos now!!! Muhahahahah More MAFIA!!! Peace

Madmanmarz1981

Awwww YEAH! Time for the end of The Corleone Family!! My notification for this listed as SOP Episode , but as long as I get my Mafia fix , I am happy!! And , as mentioned in Pt.1 of this , there were MANY problems behind the scene's making this film. And fans and critics alike had many problems with it. @Susan B and a couple others , (sorry , I forget who) gave some great info about it. I have a bit more to add , but will wait till it's over to mention it. (Don't wanna spoil anything for those who have not finished yet. ) Ok, Checklist Time!! Edibles eaten and kickin in - Check - Fatty's rolled and ready - Check - Beer Freezer cold - Check - Smokes and Zippo - Check. Let's do this!! Peace
