Gus is different but only in that he isn't cruel. Gus isn't going to lash out and kill someone just because he is having a bad day. Tuco would have put Lyle's head in the fryer. But Gus can be just as ruthless. He will kill kids even though he scolded Walt for thinking he could do such a thing. He will threaten family members and follow through with the threats. He has a different methodology in some instances but he can be just a vile when push comes to shove. So in the end he is barely different. If I had to work for either, I would rather work for Gus than the Salamancas. I give him that much but even Gus will kill his workers just to make a point like he did when the guy was showing Gus he knew how to cook just like Walter and Jesse.

2024-11-13 23:58:19 +0000 UTCI would agree not to take strong pain killers unless you are seriously injured but I've taken pain pills many times in my long life without any addiction. I guess it depends on your doctor. I've never had a doctor prescribe more than a couple of days. I can guarantee you I would have jumped off of a bridge without pain medication when I had a major tooth issue and couldn't get in to have it fixed for a week. I didn't sleep at all for over 3 nights and I was borderline hallucinating. The pain meds finally worked when the antibiotics had enough time to work and I fell asleep before hitting the 4th full day. You are correct you need to be vigilant and avoid if possible but there are some levels of pain where you need them. You can't man through the pain to sleep.
