2024-11-07 15:29:12 +0000 UTCThe 5 months deal was Jimmy forcing the client out of his stupidity. Unethical? Is it really unethical to save your client from years of jail time because they are idiots? Kim could have turned it back around. Told the guy it was staged so for a few minutes he would understand his peril. And yes, I get that it was not the right thing to do but it also wasn't 100% the wrong thing. Some people really are morons and they need more than a little coaching. She could have explained how many years he was looking at and made it clear his chances were zero. The whole scene was a bit weak to me.

2024-10-31 20:46:45 +0000 UTCJimmy didn't rub off on Kim. She has a wild streak. She wants to pull off cons. Yes, she wants to keep her law practice clean or she did. When her back is up against the wall, she was willing to bring slipping Jimmy to the rescue. I don't think it is all Jimmy rubbing off on her. I think Jimmy just gives her an outlet for bad behavior. I think she has a little Walt in her. She likes the adrenaline rush of being bad. But for her, it is like a little vacation. Once done, she slips back into average law abiding citizen mode. Slipping Jimmy will always cut corners to win as he said. Having said that, Jimmy doesn't really cut corners. As I have said before, the dude works insanely hard to win.

2024-10-31 16:28:41 +0000 UTCYou heard about Lalo in Breaking Bad: https://youtu.be/k82Vo4d3-tQ?si=s5oRZyHnwWaw1GaW&t=57

2024-10-31 01:54:09 +0000 UTCWoo, I could see you’re on a roll or a binge watch of BCS, thanks for this! I think because Gus is supposed to be 4 or 5 years younger than in BB, they put more makeup on him to try to make him look younger here - the actor Giancarlo does look like he significantly aged so they probably want to cover that up. Whereas either they just gave up on Mike either because being like, age 65 vs 70 you don’t change that much (as opposed to Gus’s, what, 45 to 50?) or because Mike and his actor just *always* looks old anyway and they’ve accepted it 😂

2024-10-30 18:32:23 +0000 UTCI was gonna say this too! I *also* could tell Saul was scamming and when I watched a few other reactors react to this episode and they believed it, I found it interesting - the psychology of it — for some reason those reactors see how Walt is a terrible person early on, but can’t see it in Jimmy/Saul. I suppose that’s partially the point, Walt is not “charming” while Saul is, that’s how he’s good at scamming in the first place. It’s just, at least to me, that shit Jimmy was saying on the stage was so corny and sappy I knew it was fake 😂 plus, I think we both don’t like Chuck very much — it’s like, he’s saying all this nice stuff about him, why? He was an asshole to you his whole life! The need to suck up to the board / sycophantic nature towards Chuck aggravated me.

2024-10-30 18:28:38 +0000 UTCI can understand why it can feel like Lalo comes out of nowhere. but trust me, he plays a crucial role in bridging Better Call Saul to Breaking Bad. Also, technically this isn't his introduction, he was name dropped in Breaking Bad

2024-10-30 13:49:13 +0000 UTC"Does stepped on make it worse? It's poison anyway" It means a shittier high, which means less business
antbox1992
2024-10-30 13:26:21 +0000 UTCRight. In Breaking Bad, it would make sense to skip the intro because it was the exact same thing every time. he didn't skip the intro for that show. Better Call Saul is always changes the intro. Mr LBoyd skips lmao

2024-10-30 13:12:34 +0000 UTCOh, you are sharp. Pretty much all the other reactors thought Jimmy was being genuine during that final monologue to the court lmao. This is the moment where Jimmy died and Saul was truly born!!!
antbox1992
2024-10-30 12:52:05 +0000 UTC"Has it been another year?" No, Jimmy simply appealed the comity's decision to reject him and took it to court

2024-10-30 12:45:36 +0000 UTCThe scene where Mike kills Werner changes the viewing experience of watching Mike attempting to kill Walt. You see how far Mike became after this, in terms of being used to killing relatively innocent men. (When I say innocent, I mean that relative to the people around him and Walt didn't purposely poison a child by that point in the story) It also makes Heisenberg feel even more badass knowing someone was in his position beforehand and failed, if that makes any sense

2024-10-30 12:35:34 +0000 UTCIt's all good man. I always enjoy how Kim can be so ruthless but so naive when it comes to Jimmy. Brilliant show. Brilliant writing and of course beautifully made

2024-10-30 12:05:56 +0000 UTC"Gus has a lot of make up on and Mike doesn't". That's because Mike's actor pretty much looks the same as how he did when they filmed Breaking Bad. Gus's actor however aged more noticeably

2024-10-30 11:57:24 +0000 UTCI'm definitely more excited for s4 finale than s5 premiere, However s5 is definitely a much stronger season than s4 as a whole

2024-10-30 11:46:47 +0000 UTCThe song at the beginning is "The Winner Takes it all" by the group Abba. Fantastic song. You should react to it on the music channel. Either way you should definitely give it a listen. I think the lyrics also fit the Jimmy vs. Saul relationship extremely well EDIT: I should have kept playing the video before commenting, you got it a few seconds later haha

2024-10-30 11:36:12 +0000 UTCIf you start to watch the intro again , you'll actually notice it's a lot shorter, and visually different than it was in the beginning of the series . Almost like the film is running out.
Skyler Ralf
2024-10-30 11:08:49 +0000 UTCThe whole thing in the mall. You got to remember, his face was likely up there on national news alongside Walts face. He was helping run the largest drug empire north of the border.
Matt Rumsey
2024-10-30 09:30:25 +0000 UTCHe was acting all sketchy in the flasjh forwaerd because he thinks the taxi driver recognised him as he had a new mexico thing hanging from the rear view mirror

2024-10-30 09:24:33 +0000 UTCIf I ever see you in public, Mr. L. Boyd, I'm gonna make the following hand gestures at a distance so you know I'm a fan while also accounting for our mutual aversion to spontaneous public interaction. 🫵🫶🤘🖖

2024-10-30 06:44:02 +0000 UTCNice hat. Do you have a Doberman? They're great guard dogs.

2024-10-30 05:46:07 +0000 UTCThe hearing at the end of episode 10 was Jimmy appealing the decision in the previous episode. A couple weeks later I think.
