In regards to why they didn't hire that first architect was due to lack of OPSEC (Operational Security). A term we use in the navy for the ability to maintain information integrity. He stated that he had dug a tunnel from Mexico to El Paso in 17 weeks. This demonstrates that he is willing to just talk about operations that he's done. Gus values his operational security and was easily a disqualifying factor

2024-10-31 23:21:44 +0000 UTCMan! Who's saying less car talk?! I think it's great! That's one of the perks of patreon vs. Youtube. More interaction with you via miscellaneous things like car talk. Do your thing man.

2024-10-12 10:48:15 +0000 UTCDoctor here: cholesterol does have a function in the body, yes. So you should have *some*, that’s why a normal measurement isn’t 0. If it’s too high then it can clog your arteries (which is called atherosclerosis) and over many years that can cause heart attacks. There’s also good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol(LDL), HDL should be above a certain number and LDL should be below. It’s usually the bad cholesterol people are talking about when they say it’s “too high”.

2024-10-10 07:07:17 +0000 UTCI love the scene with the first French scientist. To me (and to Mike) it was obvious right away that he was a terrible fit for the meticulous Gus Fring. He basically came in, took a few measurements, and decided he could do it with no problems in a short period of time (very unrealistically). Then to make it even worse he bragged about a previous supposedly secret job. What would stop him from going to his next potential employer and bragging about how he build a whole meth lab under a laundromat in New Mexico :) . Werner took the time to really look at stuff, figure out specifically what would be required, and give more realistic responses about the extreme difficulty of creating that space under neath a working laundromat with huge machines inside a city with noone noticing :) .

2024-10-10 02:57:26 +0000 UTCThe weird thing to me about Jimmy is that he isn't lazy. He works hard. He worked insanely hard to set up the case against the retirement chain. He needs all of the balls to be in the air to be happy. He almost needs to be behind the 8 ball to be happy. Charlie Hustle. I don't even see any sign that he wants money. He wanted the nice office because he wanted to work with Kim. He became a lawyer because he wanted Chuck's respect and he wanted to be better for Kim. But he wants to win so badly, he will do the wrong thing to win if he can justify the greater good will be the outcome. As I said, it is weird to figure out his true motivations outside of Chuck and Kim. He reminds me a lot of a friend when I lived in Austin who had 4 good jobs over 4 years. He just wasn't ever happy in one spot.
