I feel like there are often 2 tiers of workstations. One that’s essentially just a beefier version of the desktop systems, and then another that’s essentially the server platform but in a desktop form factor. I think this falls into the latter category haha

2024-12-23 23:21:12 +0000 UTCOddly enough, the main thing was the case. It didn’t have enough room for the potential quantity drives I wanted. If I remember, the max stock was 4 and there was room the the top for an icy dock, but I was wanting a case like the Fractal d5 that had space for 8. I have 5 right now. Also, the power draw was huge for it. I had also heard some comments that it was a bit noisy with all the fans in it. My project was inspired by some of your videos that take an older machine and make a server out of it! So that was the direction I went. New case, used motherboard, drives, psu and GPU. Thanks again!
