2024-10-18 13:17:45 +0000 UTCJust a thought about intros for show's. I get both sides, people want to enjoy intro but many times you'd rather skip and I think the middle ground is just including them in new shows for however long, then once and awhile keep it in. Cause man intro's have just as much nostalgia as the show sometimes haha it's funny, my mom loved this song. Had it as her ringtone for awhile ;) ok time to watch now lol

2024-09-13 11:02:30 +0000 UTCAmphetzamine = speed Meth amphetamine = also speed but much worse Basically they are both amphetamines. Sort of like how Coke and Crack are both cocaine but ones worse

2024-09-13 10:51:25 +0000 UTCa doctor is someone who can diagonise someone and a nurse/surgeon is someone who actually fixes the problem so yes she is a doctor because she diagonises an illnes of some kind

2024-09-13 08:38:00 +0000 UTCI'm surprised you didn't know a Psychiatrist does go to medical school. They are nothing like a Dentist.

2024-09-13 06:26:43 +0000 UTCShe’s a medical doctor, which is why she can prescribe scheduled drugs. Thats the difference between psychiatrists and psychologists. Psychiatrists must first earn a medical degree.

2024-09-12 17:46:16 +0000 UTCSo was I in the late 1970s. I was terribly shy and had to make presentations to large groups of strangers at my job, and discovered that crystal meth was a cheap alternative to cocaine, and gave me confidence and (temporary) focus. The confidence is as addictive as the chemical itself. I took Crystal in capsules, probably made in the garage of the dude we bought it from (whose actual name was Dude. Talk about red flags, right?) Fortunately, I never smoked meth, which might have killed me asap, and also fortunately, I realized in time that feeling fried and nervous and paranoid and exhausted and sleepless for hours after the high, was not sustainable.

2024-09-12 17:45:18 +0000 UTCShe’s an MD. The only therapists who can prescribe scheduled drugs are psychiatrists, because they are medical doctors whose specialty became psychiatry.
Susan B
2024-09-12 17:38:19 +0000 UTCTrue. But as an MD she would be handy to have around in a medical emergency, even if it’s just from having graduated medical school twenty years ago.

2024-09-12 06:50:18 +0000 UTCI vote for changing any type of doctor’s title that’s not in the medical field into some kind of technician. 😂😂😂 Mental techs. But wtf would the “honorary doctorates” be? 😂

2024-09-12 06:37:39 +0000 UTC😂😂😂 Yep. Crystal aka Speed. Or as truckers call it? High speed chicken feed 😂😂😂. A badly kept secret to how some of the mega carriers (huge trucking companies) got as big as they did. 😂 I’ve been trucking for 25 years and have a buddy that recently retired at 79 years old. Was trucking since the 60’s and talked about literal bowls of whatever you wanted for free and provided by companies. They use to run east coast to west coast and back never sleeping and be on that High speed chicken feed. They use to soak toothpicks with it also. Driver would start getting sleepy, grab a toothpick and be wide awake for days as long as as he had toothpicks. 😂😂😂 Also why so many old school truckers smiles looked like gapped up picket fences 😂😂😂. My buddy didn’t get into that. He was a pro body builder and preferred the stuff Arnold used back then 😂😂😂

2024-09-12 04:58:27 +0000 UTCTony’s love for his daughter is so endearing, so profound, is it the thing that humanizes him for the audience? He loves his wife but doesn’t honor her or have any real curiosity about his wife’s inner life; he loves his son, but at this point in the show we don’t see much of a connection there. But his daughter? He’s so proud and so hopeful. He seems to think she is his redemption.

2024-09-12 03:29:11 +0000 UTCMr B, psychiatrists are MDs. They have to complete med school and then enter psychiatry as a specialty. They can prescribe medications: psychologists on the other hand, which most therapists are, can’t prescribe drugs because they are not medical doctors. Tony’s psychiatrist Dr Melfi would be able to help with a medical emergency.
Susan B
2024-09-12 03:16:44 +0000 UTCThese actors. This writing. Gandolfini brings so much authentic pain to the Tony Soprano role, he makes it impossible not to want some wins for him no matter how little he deserves to win.
Susan B
2024-09-12 03:14:26 +0000 UTCOk it depends on if she went the psychologist route, which is a masters or PhD, or the psychiatrist route, which is medical school for 4 years then 4 years more in a psychiatry residency and school. The biggest difference is psychologist are really counselors and psychiatrist can prescribe scheduled drugs. She however is a psychiatrist who is more a psychoanalyst like say Freud was, and she uses medication as a last resort. I believe she as a psychiatrist would know how to perform basic general medical emergency procedures and care but would probably not feel comfortable doing so and would likely defer to a more experienced practitioner. She would have to have general basic knowledge of most diseases and standardized care to pass her general medical school basics.
