XMEN 2009 FULL REACTION

I had to pause watching this to comment. You keep mixing up what a telepathic and telekinetic person can do. Telepathy can read/control minds, telekinetic can move objects with their mind. Xavier is telepathic. The guy making the elevator move is telekinetic or perhaps has some electricity related powers. Jean was both.

2024-12-05 23:10:21 +0000 UTCEveryone "ages" up to that point. That is what "growing into adulthood" is. What you are thinking of as aging is actually the body breaking down as the mechanisms of aging begin to slow, accumulate damage, and in general just start messing up, which is why we "grow old". Wolverine's power is that he not only heals, he heals without scarring or accumulating cellular junk. His telomeres also regenerate (telomere shortening is another thing that causes us to grow old). This means he is basically immortal from a certain definition of immortality. That is, as long as nothing damages or hinders his mutant power (such as a genetically engineered virus) or outpaces his ability to regenerate (like being directly at the center of a nuclear explosion).

2024-09-12 03:21:59 +0000 UTCThis version of Deadpool got retconned and is not cannon. The new Deadpool movies are played by the same actor (Ryan Reynolds) and are incredible films. They really messed up in this movie by having him not talk because that’s the MAIN thing about Deadpool. Oh and he breaks the fourth wall constantly which is hilarious

2024-09-11 21:56:52 +0000 UTCthis might be the 2nd worst movie in the series

2024-09-11 16:11:42 +0000 UTC😂😂😂 Knowing our guy. He’s going to both love and hate Dead Pool. 😂😂😂

2024-09-11 04:59:33 +0000 UTCDeadpool is the only non-MCU series that's worth watching. Logan is also one of the greatest comic book movies ever made. Which makes sense... Because Wolverine is the best at what he does, even if what he does isn't very nice... Bub.

2024-09-11 03:25:33 +0000 UTCGreat Reaction. You can pretty much disregard everything you saw about deadpool in this movie. That's what fox did.

2024-09-11 02:11:06 +0000 UTCI think X3 got skipped but idk why. To answer @mrlboyd's question though, This is part of a whole other series of xmen movies with it's own directors. The movie that should have been next is X3 which did change directors from the first 2 Xmen movies, and quite frankly was hated by a LOT of the Xmen fan base. Critically it was panned pretty hard at the time as well. At lease as far as the fox xmen universe goes this is in fact a prequil to the original Xmen movies and the start of what is called the Wolverine trilogy. Looking forward to getting to the real deadpool series with you soon!!

2024-09-11 01:32:16 +0000 UTCthat is definitely NOT deadpool, but we'll get there one day

2024-09-10 17:01:18 +0000 UTCSlow aging. people look the same the majority of their mature life until they get older ant it starts to show. I'd recommend a movie or comic but, I'm charging for additional information from now on, since the world has collectively decided that free information or free anything is worthless and not to be paid attention to unless it costs an arm and a leg. So, hence my new DBA: Paperback, Used LLC: people who actually want to learn for cheap, they can pay an arm and a leg first and I an decide later once they decide the information is useful to give it way, maybe.

2024-09-10 14:43:13 +0000 UTCHe’ll have to see at least Loki season 1 to understand who the TVA are before he gets to Deadpool three but the others can be seen pretty much anytime considering the X-men characters are fringe characters and doesn’t affect the story in anyway but there are some Easter eggs in the marvel universe that appear in Deadpool like the down helicarrier.

2024-09-10 13:23:02 +0000 UTCAnd...We're done. First , great reaction Sir. You had fun , questions were raised , some answered , some not yet. For me , your reaction made me have fun with the film , and while I will never like the Deadpool end part , it was not as bad as a whole as I remember. So thank you for that. Now , will that happen with X 3 , I doubt it. lol But stranger things have happened , so looking forward to next week. Just remember please , watch the Rogue Cut for Days of future past when the time comes. Thanks again Sir for another wonderful , fun watch! Time to work on my Jaws Lego set for a while. Peace

2024-09-10 08:45:52 +0000 UTCI believe he is going to finish off the X-Men movies ,then Logan , then maybe Deadpool. Keep in mind he also has some other Fox films (Fantastic 4 , and 5 Spider-Man films as well. And a few MCU TV shows. Oh , and 3 Blade movies , plus maybe The Punisher films , and the Netflix shows. Geez that's a shit-ton of movies and TV huh? ) And speaking personally , I am more than willing to wait for "Mr. Pool" to meet Mr. Boyd . (But unless some Matrix tech comes out soon , gotta wait. * "I know the MUC , and Kung-Fu." ) Peace

2024-09-10 08:17:30 +0000 UTCExcept for the portrayal of Deadpool, this movie is one my favourites to🙂

2024-09-10 07:52:05 +0000 UTCLiev Schreiber is my favourite Sabertooth as well😃

2024-09-10 07:23:25 +0000 UTCTry to remember that the X-Men timeline is very poorly constructed compared to the MCU. Basically try to forget that Deadpool was in this movie before you watch Deadpool 🤣

2024-09-10 07:08:36 +0000 UTCOk , more Mutant Monday fun here. After reading the comments , I see you did this instead of X-3 . No big deal to me , as I stated before , as long as you enjoy em , I'm fine. But boy , is this a turd! (But same w/ x-3 IMO) But I do have a soft spot for bad cinema , and I have a damn good buzz so far so fuck it! Checklist time - Edibles kickin in , Check - Cones packed , Check - Cold beer , Check - Pack of smokes and Zippo , Check , and snarky comments to riff the film , Double Checked! Keeping in mind I only ever watched this once upon release , Let's Riff this fucker!! Peace

2024-09-10 06:22:37 +0000 UTCcan the deadpool 1 be watched at this point or will that come into play after all of X-men movies are done with ?

2024-09-10 06:13:34 +0000 UTCI forgot how good this movie was since all I ever remember is how bad they screwed up with Wade Wilson. At least they eventually were persuaded to fix their mistakes

2024-09-10 06:05:07 +0000 UTCYeah, what happened to last stand?
gak9319
2024-09-10 05:40:47 +0000 UTCso there a couple issues people had with this film and I'll explain it in a spoiler free fashion... 1. While they got Gambit's abilities pretty much correct (while it wasn't explained, he can store energy into objects and release it. his favorite was playing cards), the look and presentation of Gambit was entirely wrong. 2. Wade Wilson was done dirty in here. The whole ending with what happened to him was rejected and, from what i can tell, not true to the official story of that character. That and the sword in hand thing was REALLY dumb. lastly, I'm fairly certain there was an after credit scene that explained your question about why Stryker stopped walking. Of course it's the one time you forget to check! lol

2024-09-10 05:05:09 +0000 UTCThis movie was supposed to lead to multiple origin stories like you asked for, but this was actually one of the worst in the series at the time. They struggled on set due to not having a finished script when they started filming and there was a writers strike going on at the time. If you like this though you’ll definitely love The Wolverine just pick the rated R cut and Logan 2017

2024-09-10 04:17:24 +0000 UTCRemy Lebeau, 'The Gambit', his powers are the ability to manipulate potential energy and magnify kinetic energy. That's what he was doing with the cards, turning them into Bombs basically. And that's why he kept seeking high-ground for his little staff trick.

2024-09-10 04:07:02 +0000 UTCFun times.

2024-09-10 03:46:59 +0000 UTCdid you skip the 2006 film? did i miss that somehow?

2024-09-10 03:11:47 +0000 UTC"I swear on my son's life..." The same son he was exploiting by keeping them in a wheelchair hooked up to a machine that was sucking-out their special 'make mutants compliant' magic brain-juice? That son?
Molly McAllister
2024-09-10 01:38:15 +0000 UTCSlowly but surely we’ll get to Deadpool but when it happens be warned it’s like nothing you’ve seen yet and anything else we encounter leading up to it. Till then enjoy the rest of X-men and marvel films.
John Dodo
2024-09-10 01:21:26 +0000 UTCI don't think Brad was a telepath, we quite plainly see him only manipulating machines and devices and not people. Notice how the power for the entire carnival went-out after Victor did his business.

2024-09-10 01:10:25 +0000 UTCppl hate on this one for some reason. this is my favorite one

2024-09-10 01:02:52 +0000 UTCDNA has a roadmap not only for the development of the various features of your body, but also a roadmap for how and when and how-much to develop those things. They grew-up because it was in their genes to grow-up. It might not feel like it but physical aging pretty-much hits it's plateau around late-20s/early-30s or so. After that their healing factors would repair most of the junk that happens to you from aging. Like they said in the last movie about Logan's healing-factor making it nearly impossible to determine how old he actually is.
Molly McAllister
2024-09-10 00:47:28 +0000 UTCNot my favorite X Men film but it did a decent job revealing Logan's origins. The "sequel" is slightly more entertaining. You'll drive yourself crazy trying to figure out how/why Deadpool exists in the MCU lol. Just forget about this iteration of Wade Wilson, Weapon XI in particular, and you'll be fine.
JM
2024-09-10 00:13:53 +0000 UTCDeadpool does live and die in this film. A version of him at least and I dont mean in the multiverse sense, I mean in the studio were too scared to comit to the character and Ryan Reynolds said he felt it was better than nothing. Not expecting to get the sequel at the time, cant say I blame him.
Chris Robson
2024-09-09 23:46:02 +0000 UTCAlso Victor is the "Saberetooth" character from the previous X men movies that you watched.... the guy with no words who was with Magneto but in those the version of him they used was the one with the long hair and dark eyes. Logan didn't recognize him in those movies because of the memory loss.
itsRichErich
2024-09-09 23:27:58 +0000 UTCDid you skip "X-men: the last stand" intentionally? I know you are not watching in release order because you already did first class but I thought we would've did "The Last Stand" next for the trilogy since you already watched X2 and the last stand is basically X-men 3 in a lot of ways.
itsRichErich
2024-09-09 23:25:31 +0000 UTCWolverine was the favorite and the “star” of the character ensemble from the original trilogy. The studio decided to do origin stories, hence “X-Men Origins” in the title of this movie. Of course, they started with Wolverine. However, this film was not too well received. Instead of the “Origins” movies becoming a series, they did a reboot with X-Men: First Class. Wolverine was still beloved by fans, so there are more movies coming up featuring him as the main character, and eventually they merged the rebooted storyline with the original trilogy’s characters. It was actually very well done, and many fans love Days of Future Past for that reason. You’ll get there. All in good time.

2024-09-09 21:57:37 +0000 UTCWolverine ages super slowly because of his rapid healing, basically heals any illnesses or anything that interferes with his ageing you need to watch Logan
