2024-09-07 19:53:13 +0000 UTC'triggered'.... hoo boy, that's a loaded term. This has been building up over the entire run so far of reactions to SOA, again, it seems to bring what I see as the worst in him. I've not been at all diligent in consuming ALL of Mr Lboyd's content so forgive me if this all seems 'par for the course' to you, I've not even been subscribed to the Youtube channels since I was told that it actually Hurt them more to be a subscriber and not watch EVERY video as it came out than it does to just not be a subscriber at all. (I do periodically peak in on the main channel, and it looks like wall-to-wall clickbait.) What's got me 'triggered' is just as I said, his attitude toward sex-workers and women in general as he's expressed over the course of these reactions to this specific show (and a little bit to others, but mostly this one.) I know he's said 60% of what he says is sarcasm, but that's cold comfort given how many out there unironically express such opinions as their heartfelt worldview. "If you are female and have engaged in this type of thing, regardless of circumstance, you are forever sullied and are of no use to me or anyone else because you can no longer guarantee your physical fidelity and thus have destroyed your value to me and to society in general because as a woman you only have value insofar as you can produce healthy children and guarantee that those children are projecting my own genetic material into the future and not the genetic material of any other men who might possibly have had access to your reproductive organs which obviously do not belong to you even though they reside within your own body." That is what is being implied here, you may now accuse me of putting words in his mouth but this is the ultimate logical conclusion of the sentiments that have been expressed here as I've seen them play out over and over during the decades. I honestly don't know which is worse, the possibility that he sincerely holds the above beliefs... or that he actually believes these are 'jokes' that are 'funny'.

2024-09-07 14:09:42 +0000 UTCHe has always had a black and white perspective on characters he watches its nothing new and he has always been literal and has a hard time empathizing so im confused why this time it has got you so triggered?

2024-09-07 11:39:49 +0000 UTCYou didn't know Prison was like this? You're just finding this out now? It's been like this since private prisons became a thing. If you are an inmate the Government is not in fact housing you, a private for-profit corporation is. The Guards there are not law-enforcement and never have been, they're no different from the private security you see at your typical Mall and are just there to make things look passable-enough that the corporation can continue it's contract. A lot of the laws currently on the books and the sentencing pertaining to them regarding recreational substances and/or sex work aren't there for any reason involving their supposed morality or immorality, they're there because the private prison corporations lobbied for those laws so that they could get more inmates which means more money for them. There was even a scandal not too long ago of a judge throwing the book at juvenile offenders, kids who basically made a mistake and were imminently rehabilitatable but now they have that Ex-Con baggage hanging over their lives forever, because they were getting paid cash money by representatives of the local for-profit prison system.

2024-09-07 02:24:45 +0000 UTCUnder-developed labia.... this is the first time I've ever heard of such a thing, and I could guarantee that would't have been on anyone's mind back when this was new. The hell are you getting your info from? And why is the development of women's labia a thing those sources focus on? Probably meant she looked underaged. But in any event. Fuck the entire fuck out of you for calling her awful because she's a sex-worker, just... you probably already know you're gonna get judged as awful and you probably don't care but, yeah, Imma judge you, YOU'RE awful. I remember enjoying the show when it was new, and I remember enjoying your reactions for your unique takes... but your takes on this show are just Too 'Unique'. Your unwilligness (or inability, fair's fair) to empathize with anyone in the main cast and your black-v-white absolutist moral lens you're watching this through, I think it's bringing out the absolute worst in you.

2024-09-07 01:52:15 +0000 UTC"Can you hear me now?" Was actually a cell-phone joke referencing a nationwide carrier's ad campaign at the time this was first aired.

2024-09-07 00:01:39 +0000 UTCBecause segregation in prison (in terms of solitary confinement which I think is what you were essentially suggesting), especially for any length of time is incredibly bad for your mental health, to the point that you'd rather be dead. I'd even suggest its a lot worse for you than any safety concerns.
