XMen are in the marvel universe but it is the same argument we always have. When the world is under attack, how come all of the super heroes don't respond. Heck, if the world is about to be destroyed, you would think the super villains would also respond tothe threat. Where are the Fantastic Four, The Defenders, The XMen and all of the other super heroes? Are they all off golfing when Thanos comes to town? Xmen are in the same universe but they took the day off for Thanos.

I can take criticism. Its no prob for me. But Boyd only watches these superhero movies goz he gets paid well. I wish i was stupid AF! Trust me. But Oppenheimer was so captivating and im not saying that Interview with a vampire is best there can be, but they close enough to get my attention. Beauty of the film is mostly athmosphere. Ok, read through all the other comments first so I know I'm not just repeating what's already been said.... X-men, being a stand alone from the rest of marvel... think of the time period we just watched, it's actually from the time period that the stories were written. The art that imitates life here was the racial tensions that were held across the country. The two main protagonist are based off of Malcom X and Dr King. (Prof. X and Magneto) both fight for the same end goal, equal rights for their purple, just with extreme opposite methods. Keep that in mind when comparing the two

Too many X-Men to get a proper origin story for each. Most of the movies feature atleast a dozen and many times new ones. As opposed to the other MCU the XMen is more focused on the team than the individuals. Also, since most of them have mutations that they were born with, many of their origin stories would be your typical puberty like story: "born with it, and at some point the effects show up and they have to adapt to living with it. Although some of the XMen do have pretty good individual stories, for example Wolverine

I just watched your American Physco reaction so forgive me for dropping this here: Fun fact: In the scenes where our American Phyco is talking to the policeman in his office. They shot the scene in multiple different ways; One where the policeman believed bateman to be innocent, One where he believed him to be guilty and one where he wasnt sure. The final cut is a mish mash of them all to portay Batemans paranoia/shattered mentality. Second fun fact: In Infinity War, when Thanos portals to Earth and is making light work of the Avengers. Youll notice Captain America holds back Thanos's hand with all but one stone in it. Caps right hand wraps around the Soul Stone during this, giving Thanos insight and total understanding of Captain America as a person. The fact that maybe the most noble person he has ever encountered is opposing his actions gives Thanos a literally second of pause. This is why he Cap could "hold him off" for a moment. Thanos was simplying inspecting the contents of his soul and struggling with the fact such a person could stand against him. (Only a moment of doubt mind you). You said it right, Multiverse. All Marvel movies are part of the multiverse. This includes all X-men, Fantastic 4, Spiderman, Amazing Spiderman, Blade and All Netflix Marvel shows. This is explained in the Loki show. What you have seen up to this point is the Main MCU timeline known as Earth 616. The X-men series comes from Earth 10005.

Napoleon whom starred with Joaquin Phoenix, heard that movie were eye candy too. Directed by Ridley Scott< Who directed OG Alien.....And that OG Alien movie is in my humble opinion still the best. Next Alien movie is the 3th coz its realy alley run with death! I know ppl bash Alien3, but i found that sht so suspenseful, and guess what director was involved making Alien3? That's not a spoiler he has no idea who these names even are AND if you read the comics these movies basically are mashups or shorthands of the exact same stories so... every Marvel/DC/Insert independent comic company here fan usually already knows the entire movie. Like Batman V Superman... I was not surprised, at all, by anything... because he's Batman! If you read THE actual "Old man Logan series" you'll be like "they cut 85% of it off and modified 50% of what was left." And it's still the best X-man movie AND it's stand alone. It doesn't even happen in the "standard" 851 or whatever it's a separate dimension. AND it doesn't technically happen in THE Old man Logan series universe/dimension either, it's it's own movie and universe. Somehow they haven't made the sequel, and those kids are way too old now to just pick up from where it left off... also, he's not going to cheat and read the comics or a synopsis or any actual spoilers. I'd bet money on it and I usually don't.

Wonderful! I think changing to the release dates is the right way to go. Also, I just thought I'd mention that I'm noticing a sound issue. It seems to have happened roughly after you switched to Vimeo. Louder bass noises and high crescendo's get all static filled and strange sounding. ( I at first assumed it may be my speakers, but it only does it on your videos and only fairly recently. Don't know if it's something you can tinker with or if others are noticing the same thing or not. Just thought I'd let you know. Still, wonderful reaction. I'm getting greedy. I want more lol. So much fun to follow you along this journey. I look forward to Monday.

Great movie to start the series anyways, I think you would run into some issues only if you continued this way. Also... yeah, don't make Magneto angry, metals are literally everywhere. (but I'm not sure if he can move only magnetic metals or even stuff like gold, but even iron only would be scary, considering we have some in our blood and shitton of it in Earth's core). EDIT: I have just realised that he should be able to wirelessly charge batteries.

I'm gonna say it: the comics are great, 90% of the X-men movies though are kinda bottom of the barrel, they just were kinda new and made a lot of money so they set the whole superhero movies can make tons of money fad... Logan, and some of the newer ones. The other ones: for nostalgia. And yeah, after watching this movie think about professor X hiding out in a broken down cerebro, with Alzheimer's oe dementia.. and he has "seizures" Well... Wolverine/Logan is HIM and he's THE X-Man. Even though he doesn't necessarily rank high in power.. he can stand one of X's seizures..

To clarify, the X-men movies by 20th Century Fox are not related to and were not intended to tie in to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Iron Man came out in 2008. The first X-men came out in 2000. However, now that Disney owns 20th Century Fox and the rights to all the intellectual properties, they have been working on a multiverse explanation to tie it all together. That’s part of why everyone was suggesting this series. Also, it’s a really fun series and I hoped you would watch it regardless of any future tie ins. Anyway, glad to watch along with you. Enjoy the journey.

I know a lot of people said it already but, although I think it's fine to watch this one first, release order would be much more enjoyable and much less confusing. X-Men timeline & universe was not finely crafted like the MCU timeline so "chronological order" is debatable. This one is nice for an intro to the X-Men though and the first one I ever watched.

Important Note- For your watch order things are wildly inconsistent, you will have logic issues, dates not lining up, characters being recast VERY often. So if you have an issue with any of these things just know the X-Men timeline is a complete mess.

Watching this one first is fine actually gives some context to the early films but definitely go back and watch the first 3 movies before you watch anymore sequels of this one

Important Note- For your watch order things are wildly inconsistent, you will have logic issues, dates not lining up, characters being recast VERY often. So if you have an issue with any of these things just know the X-Men timeline is a complete mess.
