Really neither should raise that kid, but better the father. Ethics, general.

They show different characters in this movie that have some sort of Anti Social PD. IF they make it past a certain age without ending up dead or in jail, they're interesting characters.***All of these people have an extremely rational view that is self-serving and self-sabotaging at the same time because they rationalize their preference over one thing as more valuable than something else. **Very different people actually, yeah huge exaggeration. Nope. I'm telling you study ethics, either in general or start with ethics for medical students. Jenny was a victim and had some issues but clearly turned it around and learned her lesson in the end as well as probably got some therapy. This chick is not looking or likely to ever want to seek help. Neither is the father, though. Equally they are both terrible human beings and belong in jail (to be rehabilitated, because it's possible for some). Between the two though, objectively she's much better off with the father.

I will say you can understand even horrible people like her without having any sympathy for her. The way she treated their kids especially is unforgiveable IMHO. As to understanding her she's like the other characters she was groomed, they were all groomed. Her pimp guy mentioned first meeting her at 14 years old, so since that point she definitely was groomed. Once she's an adult (anyone) they are responsible for their actions IMHO even if I can try and understand how someone like that is stuck in this cycle since being a child. Ace and Nicky also were similar, their upbringing and history probably groomed them to be what they were, including Nicky's violence... though again he was an adult and should've made better decisions... Though yeah Ginger is horrible... though I really didn't like your sort of extended passive aggressive sarcastic rant int he middle-ish there. Just speak your mind, sure try and consider other views but if you still don't think they're worth a damn just say it. It's ok if people disagree, disagreement is fine. Hell if I agreed with everything you said I would probably be bored with your reactions. Ignore the trolls who would defend someone like Ginger or whatever, though there are plenty of people that post respectful genuine disagreements and you can take em or leave em. IMHO too many people these days are uncomfortable with disagreement. There's nothing wrong with that. Screw anyone who straight up attacks you or something.

If you constrast that to the contemporary equivalence its hard not to see a bit of humour and absurdity in the whole thing.

And for you and any other fans of the film , I would say read the book , or watch a documentary of the real story. Now , if ya just watch Taxi Driver , almost any Neil Marshell movie , and Baby Driver you will have scored major BINGO's in my Reactors Bingo Card! So very close Sir. Oh , and when you were curious as to why Pesci did not shoot his are when he kill the lady.. Many "hitmen" would use a .22 for up close hits . They would make the rounds themselves , using less powder and pressing the gun against the head so the bullet would penetrate the skull , but bounce and not exit. Less blood/mess , a bit less noise , and slug deformation would make it harder to compare etc. (Weird what ya learn when intrerested in the Mob and stuff. lol) And , as always Sir , Thank you for the reaction!! Cast , photography , locations , music , and most of all ,VERY based on a true story. (Same crime writer that did Wiseguy-AKA Goodfellas. And much like that book , I have read Casino many , many times.) The names were changed for the most part , but most of the film was accurate. (More than most "Based on a true story" films) No check list this time as I already started the reaction , BUT , I will throw a couple Fun Facts in.. Fun Fact - If you look up The Frank Rosenthal Show on You Tube , there are episodes of his Public Access Show on there. ( Cringe , cheese , and just fun.) Fun Fact - Joe Pesci has said the F Word 272 times in movies , (making him #1 at last check) HOWEVER , of those 272 time , 241 were in Casino. (Fuck thats fuckin cool! lol) Fun Fact - 2 of the actual people from the story ( Frank Rosenthal , and Frank Cullotta ) were consultants on set for parts of the film. Frank Rosenthal was quoted that De Niro did a great job as Frank. Hope some found em interesting. Now it's time ta go back ta Vegas! Peace
