Starlord did it basically just because he promised and to potentially hold information from Thanos. At least with Thanos there was a 50% chance she would die anyway.

While the Hulk is incredibly strong and powerful, he has never had to learn how to fight and only needed his brute strength (Hulk smash) to win, so he never needed anything else. However, Thanos is not only equal to Hulk in strength, he is clearly a well-trained fighter. Hulk refusal to take over from Bruce during Infinity War may simply be fear of actually losing a fight.

2024-07-16 15:45:28 +0000 UTCWe talk about the impact of the ending but let's not forget the impact of the beginning of the movie... within the very first 5 mins of the movie infinity war makes an amazing insane statement by showcasing Thanos beating the Hulk so effortlessly which is something we haven't seen before in any of the previous MCU movies... he beat Hulk so bad we didn't get to see him fight for the entire rest of the movie 🤣🤣🤣 my jaw was on the floor the first time I seen that scene in theaters. They did a great job at communicating to us Thanos power early out the gate that he was someone that is more powerful than any of the villains The Avengers have faced prior to this film.

I saw this in the cinema on opening night and the absolute devastation everyone in the audience felt was a once in a lifetime experience that will probably never be repeated. Most of the crowd stayed seated well after all the credits rolled and barely anyone spoke on the way out. Just a quick rant: I often think of the emotions I felt that night and after Endgame every time I read articles about how famous directors (*cough* Martin Scorsese *cough*) slam Marvel, saying it is not “real cinema” (sadly, what is considered “real cinema” is often equal to “Oscar bait” in my opinion). While those movies are also amazing to watch and experience, they seldom evoke the visceral emotion that I felt watching these movies, especially Infinity War and Endgame and it is really insulting to a legion of movie goers that love the thrill of watching these big budget comic book movies (or any other genre, for that matter). - Does Marvel have formula? Absolutely. - Are all the movies equally great? No. However, I don’t think I have ever seen people get as emotionally invested in characters and stories than the journey through the MCU – even after 5 years and hundreds of rewatches, the death of Groot and Spiderman hits just as hard as it did the first time. Guess I could have just said I am a superfan, but had to get that off my chest.

2024-07-16 06:33:10 +0000 UTCYes! I remember everyone being distraught and confused in the theaters when it ended. That fight on Titan was a masterpiece!! Remember "we're in the Endgame now". At least you have to wait three weeks, we had to wait a year which doesn't seem that long considering the slate of MCU films now. It's not explained in the film but in the comics, the glaive that Corvus Glaive uses can split atoms which is why he was able to wound Vision. The Black Order are also an elite fighting force in the comics. You'll find out where Antman is in the next movie.

2024-07-16 05:54:23 +0000 UTCSeeing this ending in movie theaters was the craziest experience ever in real time... nobody said a word in my theater after that ending... walked out feeling like something truly tragic happened... imagine seeing this and then having to wait a year to see the next movie after already feeling like the villain won.. the Spider-Man death hit me the hardest because he was still a kid and you could see how scared he was to die. I instantly felt bad for Tony as well imagining the guilt that he was most likely feeling being responsible for Peter as a mentor as well... amazing film overall but that ending definitely left us all in shambles fam lol

This movie was INSANE to watch in theaters opening night. Entirely silent at the end. Good thing you only have to wait a few weeks or less for the next Avengers instead of a year like we did. 4. Ant man and Hawkeye aren't in this movie because they are on house arrest from the events of Civil War and the deal they took. The next movie is Ant man though
