2024-06-20 00:51:41 +0000 UTCYep. He’s in charge of the family’s safety. I enjoyed a panel show with this cast on YouTube recently. The head writer and the actor agreed that Ser Criston “is the most messed-up character” in the show. He and Alicent are all about purity and duty, right? 😀

2024-06-19 03:00:46 +0000 UTCYes, she is like a child in that she has these visions but doesn’t know what to do with them. She “sees” and speaks in symbols - rats instead of the rat catcher. I think a lot of her responses to the madness around her are the reactions of a child. She blurts out warnings that even she herself doesn’t understand, and is ignored.

2024-06-19 02:22:33 +0000 UTCHelena’s fear of “the rats” was well founded. She has a gift, or curse, of prophesy but doesn’t know how to put it to use. As in Season 1 when she repeated “Beware the beast beneath the boards” which turned out to be a dragon disrupting the coronation. IMO, she cares very much about her children but she is child-like herself and when asked which child was the boy - with the threat that if she lied, both children would die - she answered honestly, not because she didn’t care but because she is incapable of lying or plotting. She’s the only member of that whole crazy family who doesn’t know how to lie.

2024-06-18 22:39:32 +0000 UTCI think you missed the foreshadowing, In the penultimate episode of last season Helena made what seemed like a weird throwaway comment about dragons/danger (can't remember which she said) beneath the boards. During the coronation, Rhaenys (sp?) came from below with her dragon. She didn't roast them all, but it was kinda like a vision or something Helena had that foreshadowed it. This episode she said she was afraid of the rats. Who came and killed her son? The rat catchers. She has some kind of vision ability. Wonder if we'll see more of this throughout the season.

They are in a brown castle with only smokey candles for light in every room and hallway. I don't think they added anything I think that's just what a brown castle with candles smoking everywhere looks like.
