I'm 100% with you that if I'm married to someone and they did that I couldn't stick around knowing how she feels. That being said I also get it on her part. I do think in this scenario they will never see each other again and her husband will never know what went down. That said their marriage likely won't last bc she will resent him and have the thought "I'm with you instead of the love of my life so you should be grateful". That will cause fights and eventually end things. The ending was so perfect too. Leave it to the audience to decide which path he chose. If you love Tom Hanks you gotta check out "The Terminal". It is another masterpiece imo.

It's not like Jungle Water where there's all sorts of crazy nastiness that needs to be filtered out, you can't deal with the salinity with a filter. The salt will pull hydration OUT OF your body faster than the seawater can put it INTO your body, high blood pressure is the least of your worries if you try drinking actual seawater regardless of whatever technique you use. That's why a lot of oversea survival kits include solar stills because filters might get some stuff out but distillation will get EVERYTHING out, including the salt.

When they came back together? They had about as responsible final goodbye as you could expect from a couple respectable and mature people. The red headed Wings lady was a pretty well known country music singer, musician and song writer. She passed away a few years ago, I’m thinking in her early 50’s.

2024-04-18 17:14:21 +0000 UTCI had a tooth issue a few years ago. Didn't sleep for 3 straight nights. Longest I ever went without sleep. I was actually a bit delirious before the meds kicked in. Dentist said the pain meds would do nothing before the swelling started to go down and he was right. I don't use narcotics but if someone had offered me something heavy duty, I would have snarfed it down without even thinking about it because I was in so much pain.

Though, I do think you were being a bit too hard on Kelly's and Chuck's reactions, but it's hard to imagine how I'd react to a relationship ending when both members still love each other...so, I forgive them for torturing themselves a little bit when saying goodbye. No matter what you do...you hurt someone you love. So...gotta do it the most painful way, I guess. Lol But yeah! Loved it! Looking forward to the next!

It cost me a lot to move on, but now I have been with someone for 5years now and he is the love of my life at this point of life, of this version of me. If my lost fiance presents himself right now, I don’t know, will always be someone special but he was the love of the 25year old me, not this different person I am today… it’s difficult to think about it though

But I did what one should never do and read the comments first and now I know you had at least some issue with how Chuck, Kelly, or both handled the end of their relationship. I'll hold comment on whether you have a point or not until after I watch it...but! My favorite bit of the ending is the artist. When Chuck returns to the ranch with the angel wings package, the gate that said "Dick and Bettina" now shows that Bettina has removed the "Dick" side of the gate. When she's driving by and stops to talk to Chuck after he left the package that "saved my life" she tells him about the roads, and as she drives away, he notices the same angel wings on the back of her truck (of course). Chuck looks down each road, and the wind is blowing back down the road where Bettina drove off, so he turns back to her direction and smiles. I'm one of those that believes that the whole movie is showing how the road led to her, the true love of his life. It's romantic and silly, but it makes me happy to know he's deciding to let his time on the island be a part of his path, and not just a deviation that ruined his life. Ok. Watching now and I'll shut up!

I'm not totally sure I understood your criticism, but it seemed to center around the idea that because Kelly had moved on and married another man that somehow that meant that it was totally inappropriate for Chuck and Kelly to have any kind of closure whatsoever despite the extremely unusual circumstances that led to the "break up". That despite Kelly being Chuck's potential fiancée and the one thing that kept him motivated to stay alive, he was just supposed to move on with his life without even saying goodbye, and that Kelly (because she was in another relationship), was just supposed to shut off her feelings for the man she thought she might potentially marry and thought was dead for four years. I'll concede that I didn't love how it ended with Chuck having to tell Kelly that she had to go back to her house (to essentially live the life that she had committed to), but I found the rest of it pretty understandable and believable. Anyway, like I said, maybe I misunderstood what your view was on this, but I felt the need to politely "call you out" on it. Usually I enjoy your sometimes "unconventional" opinions on things, but this one didn't quite sit well with me.

I'll have u know Tom Hanks is my personal favorite actor of all time. Cast Away, Saving Private Ryan, Forrest Gump ( R.I.P. Jennay), and many you haven't seen like "The Terminal", "Da Vinci Code", "Big" and so many others. Can't wait to watch this masterpiece. Do you know how hard it would be doing all that acting by yourself as he did. It's one of his masterpieces imo.
