2024-04-15 12:03:12 +0000 UTCI loved building settlements, what I didn't love was when they put much of the meat of it into the character-progression mechanic... then did NOT give you any perks from leveling up itself, only those from what you picked off the advancement-tree. Not even a hit-point boost. ...and THEN, they added dynamic environment scaling on top of that. Nothing like leveling-up making paste to unlock the last settlement builds, running out of resources, then going to loot the nearest location that Used to have bandits armed with baseball bats and pipe-guns and now everybody's got power-armor and nukes.

The actor did a fantastic job because I haven't been so unsettled by a performance in a long time. It's like a switch flips in him and he's an entirely different person between one breath and the next.

I can't wrap my head around Rings of Power. 😂 Why would they give such an expensive, high-profile project to people with zero experience? At least Fallout is in good hands as Jonathan Nolan proved with both Westworld and Person of Interest.

I feel like most adaptions fail because they stray too far from the actual lore, and they try to make things up or push current political and/or culture war agendas into it.

Although this does take place in California apparently... and New Vegas is probably my least played of the games. just couldn't get into it like 3 and 4. 3 was my favorite, 4 is second, primarily because i felt that the whole base building system was pushed an unnecessary. Played a tiny amount of 76 with the same overall impression you had. Still, they did an amazing job on this. Can't wait to see the next one :) extra question, do you have a favorite mission from 3 or 4? i won't ask about new vegas because of how little i played it.

I've already binged like six of the episodes so far but seeing you post a YouTube reaction had me sign up here and I'll save the last episodes to watch with you when you get there. I bought my first computer for myself to play the original Fallout, and have played every path through every game since (aside from the Xbox Protherhood of Steal [PoS]), up until 76 which I played for a while but dropped. Might have to give it another go once I've finished watching this series with you.

Now we need to see if it continues to look great. Sometimes they front load the pilot budget and then get cheap. If you haven't seen it, you really need to watch the Internet Historians Fallout 76 episode. With your feelings about Todd, you will get MANY laughs out of the episode. It is hilarious. The Fall of 76.

First mod I've downloaded was one to remove the height limit for settlement buildings. That's how much that mechanic annoyed me, everything had to have max defense (+ I love building stuff)

That bad thing about F4 is all of the factions sucked in their own way. Everyone hated Preston. The Railroad was mostly good although what they were doing could have severe bad repercussions. They also wanted you to stop helping anyone else. The Brotherhood were a pile of fanatical jackwagons and The Institute were horrible in their own way.

He paused it, and missed that other half and then wondered why she said she couldn't. That being said, still one of my favorite reaction channels.

Not that I care much about that, it just shows they haven't changed the source material to cater to a larger audience which is a bit surprising given how much this must have cost. Maybe they did learn something from Rings of Power. Maybe the Brotherhood leader had the blades put in there. They are looking for fanatics and maybe felt Maximus needed a push.... needed fear of death stress...

I wouldn't call myself a Fallout expert, but it's my favorite game series hands down. I've seen overwhelmingly positive reviews from Fallout content creators I trust- Oxhorn, TKS-Mantis, JuiceHead, ESO- I think we're in for a treat.
