2024-04-07 23:45:06 +0000 UTCSOA isn't at the level of The Wire in terms of quality, but it's a lot more *fun* than either of the other two - some folks don't always want to watch highbrow drama and enjoy midbrow biker bullshit. Also, the anti-Sopranos vote is going to consolidate in a single challenger in a first-past-the-post system - same reason America has two political parties and not three or four or five. :) Ideally you let people vote for as many choices as they want so that the vote doesn't cluster in the same way.

He probably should start a SHORT Series Day for shows like Chernobyl, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Season 1 of True Detective, Season 1 of Rome. Things like that. Self contained seasons where you don't need to watch more than 1 season.

Most of the shows here are very long and/or the kind that start off strong but start going downhill at some point. The best shows to react to are short because they maintain quality and the attention of viewers when you're reacting.

2024-04-04 15:30:29 +0000 UTCNot sure what I'm going to vote for yet (though it won't be SOA or Vikings). I will point out that one of these shows is not like the others, that being BOB. Unlike every other choice that all have multiple seasons, BOB is just 10 episodes. So, there's an argument to be made that those that are torn between BOB and something else, should vote for BOB first because it's so relatively short compared to everything else on this list, to basically "get it out of the way", if that makes sense. At least that's how I see it. Also, wish there was a way (is there?), to see the current poll results before you actually vote. That way if there are a couple of choices "neck to neck", those who haven't voted yet could make an informed decision about what they'd prefer.

But no one really reacts to those.) I truly believe Mr. Boyd would find a view this unique to "The Mafia" fascinating. They started relativily low budget in the first season, but they increases it very fast and later on it becomes, i would say eyecandy (but in a good way). Greetings from germany. Up through the Trinity killer arc was incredible, and then it kinda meandered a while imo, but I still enjoyed it. I watched that first season of New Blood but I didn't feel magic again, admittedly. Still gonna give season 2 a shot.
