2024-05-06 18:58:48 +0000 UTCDonβt get me wrong. I like the movie. Iβve watched it several times. But at the same time, a LOT of the writing was pretty weak. Itβs like during the writing process, all the writerβs block was dipping out of a bucket of every single stereotype you could think of. This writing style Really gives me the vibes of a lot of 80βs & early 90βs writing.

2024-03-13 00:46:29 +0000 UTCI really enjoyed your reaction! This is my favorite Clint Eastwood film. He expertly tells a story of growth and redemption and Iβm so very glad you shared your thoughts with us.

2024-03-13 00:00:20 +0000 UTCI would recommend anything with Clint Eastwood. But for me he is best in a western. The Fistfull movies, The Outlaw Josey Wales and Unforgiven are very goodπ

2024-03-12 22:54:04 +0000 UTCRegarding "thou shall not kill", it's apparently translated wrong. It's supposed too be "thou shall not murder". So the real question is war murder? I would say in most cases it is, despite whatever the casus beli is.

2024-03-12 20:12:58 +0000 UTCI've always loved this movie from the first viewing, but the "men talk" thing is bewildering to me. We break balls, absolutely, and it's all good, but I couldn't hang with Walt and his barber. I don't find the language offensive- I can take it- but I think it's kind of obnoxious. Call it a generational difference, I reckon. I guess I could get used to it, but it better be a damn good haircut.

2024-03-12 16:53:32 +0000 UTCThat was not what I expected. I've heard of this movie before and always thought it was just a straight up revenge movie. I was so wrong haha

2024-03-12 10:36:02 +0000 UTCThis was a good one... The question of whether he was a good man? More complicated. I've always been a person that had no problem burning bridges. Some shit, I'll never have time for. But a girl I was dating told me something once, that resonated. We judge people on their actions, but expect to be judged on our intentions. For good OR ill. Not that deep, just struck true. That, and... For all the wild racist shit that came out of his mouth... Look at what he actually DID. Only good. Well... Mostly good.

2024-03-12 08:30:36 +0000 UTCAnother amazing reaction Sir. And another killer comment that slayed me. " You Sir are going to get fondled. Absolutely. ,And him! Him specif.. These two guys right here.!" *Chef's kiss. One of my fave Eastwood non westerns. (You should try Million Dollar Baby if you have not seen it. And an older one called The Eiger Sanction (1975) Retired assassin comes back to find the assassin that killed his old friend.

2024-03-12 07:53:13 +0000 UTCI have carried a Zippo with me every day since I was 15. (54 now)Used daily. I am only on my 5th total. Zippo will fix and return them for free btw. When they break , it is usually the hinge pin , or the flint spring . A can of fluid , a pack of flints , and a spare wick are all you need to care for one for many years. There are even You Tube vids to show you how to care for them. Post a mailing address and I will be happy to mail you a complete care kit if you would like Sir.

2024-03-12 06:56:51 +0000 UTCHaha, the Zippo rant, hilarious. You have to replace the flint and refill with lighter fluid regularly. It's not broken.

2024-03-12 05:47:12 +0000 UTCI miss my zippo. Need another . Donβt smoke but theyβre fun to have.

2024-03-12 04:32:14 +0000 UTCI just break them all the time

2024-03-12 03:38:17 +0000 UTCYou can clean and maintain weapons but you can't maintain a zippo lighter? Lol, what do you need so many lighters for anyway? Incense?
David Melo
2024-03-12 03:31:41 +0000 UTCDid you check if the flint rock is still in the lighter?
