That’s why they said “he (hector) will only talk to you (Hank)”. Gus’s people were watching Hank obviously because they are trying to kill Hank at this point

Wayyyyyyyyy too many unanswered questions. And even though it came some years after Breaking Bad? THAT’s why El Camino was just so damn good. The definition of bookending. Game of Thrones SERIOUSLY needs to do a proper spinoff following Arya going west of Westeros.

Excited to watch this last one. The writer/creator/show runner said from jump, 5 was the perfect number to tell this story. So it was always intended to be that. He also directed these last two episodes.

Season 5 is the best season for me and for a lot of people so just buckle up sir it only gets more wild. For example the lowest rated episode in season 5 going by IMDb is 8.8 from 16 episodes, little taster of what’s to come. Cannot wait 😍

2024-02-28 07:39:43 +0000 UTCThis was such a masterclass. I was just like you amd instantly thought Gus poisoned Brock. Boy were we wrong. Walt is absolutely crazy. No issue with poisoning a child to get Jesse on his side. Absolutely genius, but also absolutely demented. You are absolutely right that the show would have been fine if it ended right here. I would have had 0 complaints . The good thing about this show is they wrote 1 season at a time and never jumped ahead. That gave them a lot more freedom on where to go with the story. I was just like you, "Where could they possibly go from here?" Season 5 is absolutely insane. It does start off slow for a bit but it is so dam good. Some people like season 5 more than season 4 and some vice versa. I know your gonna love it.

2024-02-28 06:15:06 +0000 UTCThese two episodes are brilliantly written. Not only was Walt a few steps ahead of Gus, but the writers were a few steps ahead of the audience. The gun landing on the Lily of the Valley is such a subtle hint that Walt has something up his sleeve. He had to give the performance of his life to convince Jesse that he wasn't capable of poisoning a child and that Gus has a history of harming children to get Jesse on his side. Gus's sixth sense makes sense in retrospect since he knew that he didn't poison Brock and the timing of the poisoning made him think it could be a trap. You were right about Huell taking Jesse's pack of cigarettes when he frisked him (you can see Huell put something in his own pocket). Walt probably told Saul the brand of cigarettes Jesse smokes and that they should remove some cigarettes in the replacement pack that was given to Jesse. Believe it or not, most people consider the fifth season to be the best. The show was on AMC for the entire duration, but it gradually became popular due to also being on Netflix. After the fifth season ended, Netflix wanted an additional season/episodes because the show became so popular, but the creators refused because they thought the complete story had been told.

When this episode came out there was INSTANTLY a bunch of smashed up Gus Fring Halloween costumes - even cardboard cutout masks if you didn't want the whole thing. All of us walked around like Gus with his eyeball blunked out. Hector Salamanca's upper lip had its own twitter account as well. DING DING DING DING DING.
