SIXTH SENSE FULL REACTION

Comments

I had many of those books in my room when i was a kid. Don Quixote, Ofc Dante, Geoffrey Chaucer. Burton, Robert. Shakespeare Edmund Spenser. Sir Philip Sydney. Charles Dickens. I remember those books like yesterday. But something happened in my household and everything were threw in a dumb. I loved those books. Ofc they werent first editions or something like that. But they were mine and some illiterate, like Maaa and Paaa. I was able to quote shthouse to the bordels next room, which was the cheapest. Paa got angry maybe Ma too. I was born like Boyd 1987, i remember he mentioned in that some vid. How damn interesting would it be to be book detective? I do not know much...but i can learn. I know if parchment is from 1500´s or 1700´s . Original ones? Example original Don Quixote was written in 2 parts from: 1605 and 1615. They say black bible was written in 1666, which is a scam...well it was written by humanbeing soooo, possible is right answer. Glad Boyd did Rap battle of history: Film: From Hell should be watched. Star Johnny Depp. It gives quite perspective on Ripper and hes ultimate goal (which can be found in conspiracy theories)). But still very interesting point of view of the Ripper himself!

The most important psyghology is if ur seen any...lets say weird, and i mean very weird behavior of ur child. Its SO important that u ´´check situation´´ right away. Coz as an adult its usually too late.

VitaminPete616

Great reaction, as always. Your intution was right that you suspected him not being alive. On him not recognizing an ex patient: He does child physchology, that patient was in his late 20's atleast. So 10+ years might be enough to not recognize a kid. As for the tempetature thing, the kids explains it at when they are "mad" but i think that's just his way of explaining that the tempetature drops when they ghosts are in some type of internal turmoil. The ghosts we see when it's cold are obviusly going through some emotional straing. The main character was never aware of his situation and thus not going through any emotional turmoil, and the few times that he was, is when he gave his wife the chills.

Dyne-o-MITE! Dyno-o-MITE!

Mike MIchelsen

The Village is pretty good. Unbreakable is fun.

Susan B

I loved this movie to this day even though I know its coming I still get chills when she drops his wedding ring and it rolls on the floor such a iconic scene....Another good one like this Stir of Echos with Kevin Bacon made me look at Painted Black by the Rolling Stones in a different way.

Lonnie Vannatter

True. As great as it would be to have a huge hit, it has to suck to always be chasing that throughout the rest of your career.

Susan B

Man, everytime! i love watching you figure these plots out, you're so damn consistent ;) but i just had one thought, you said something at 1:07 like "When ghosts are around, it's cold." But i heard at first, "when ghosts are around, it's cole" and made me think of his name.. then you noticed again, last name "seer". I wonder if it's a play on both words?? "Cold seer" ? might be a stretch but i think it's cool..... hahah ;) Im halfway in, it's time to finish this bad boy. I've only started it twice lol Then i just see a breaking bad notification that's taking everything i have not to click

Brandon W

Memento is another film with puzzle clues that Id love to see you react to!

Susan B

The daughter has to make sure that only her father, not her crazy mother, receives the box, and she is able to interact with Cole because he’s some kind of magnet for the unsettled dead. A portal they can use.

Susan B

I think maybe the basement scene at the start was the wife having a premonition.

Susan B

Bruce Willis was so endearing in this. He is in the late stages of Alzheimer’s. So sad for him.

Susan B

Time for you to see The Others with Nicole Kidman. Zero plot holes.

Susan B

The most extraordinary performance by a child actor, ever. Imagine making this film and knowing that a small child will have to carry the entire story. Terrifying. And then you meet this kid.

Susan B

I knew you would figure this out before The Reveal. Very few people do. You look for clues, rather than being swept away by the emotions of the characters. You got it!

Susan B

Omg here I am subscribing again because Mr Boyd is doing The Sixth Sense! I can’t wait.

Susan B

So Cole specifically says it gets cold when ghosts get angry. Though that's through a kid's lens. I think it's more broadly when a ghost gets upset or emotional of some sort. Regarding the girl being able to give the box to her father. The show seems pretty consistent that Ghosts can only manipulate things in a limited way. Pretty much no where do you seem them carrying objects around and hand them to people, the object they seemingly have are "what they want to see." I think the same applies to the wardrobe changes. The dead people are often seen how they see they themselves, usually in the way they were dying. The girl with the poisoned food coming out of her mouth, the later in Cole's house with her wrists sliced, etc. Bruce's character seems to change his own perception of himself based on the situation, what he'd expect himself to be wearing in a situation in real life, but again just seeing what he wants to see not aware he was dead. I think the show is actually pretty consistent when you apply the "ruled" Cole gives. Now I don't believe in real ghosts so I think there are obviously going to be some sort of holes to poke since it's fantasy, but I think it's actually pretty consistent. A lot of people didn't realize Bruce's character was actually dead until the reveal, back then it was really bad to spoil this for people.

Acme is an actual real grocery store. Mainly a Mid-Atlantic (Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania) regional franchise. Not sure how many still exist, but I know there is still one operating in my old hometown.

Garrie Morris

Speaking as a film school dropout, I think Bruce Willis's character not inducing the cold effect was probably intentional, since this film essentially has two protagonists. Bruce Willis has no clue that he's dead, so the only time he sees ghost-breath is when Haley Joel-Osment says "I see dead people." It's arguable at what point the kid even knew that Bruce was a ghost--he may have known the whole time, and was engaging in some reverse pedagogy--but I think the inconsistencies are explained by Bruce's character having a fractured perspective.

Nick Chevalier

Happy New Year to you!

Lenear Boyd

BLACK DYNAMITE

Lucas Roberts

Hopefully this is the only M. Night Shyamalan you decide to watch cuz the rest are complete garbage, except Unbreakable, as someone else stated.

D Montano

How does a history teacher not know they used to hang people inside or just outside courthouses?🤔

gak9319

I've never actually seen this movie, but I already knew about the Dr being dead throughout the movie. Spoiled it a bit, but it's fun how many clues there are that he is dead😄

gak9319

Happy New Year🎆🎊😀

gak9319

I agree. Though Cole says it's when they're angry, we eventually understand that he doesn't really have it all figured out and he's a scared kid. The evidence suggests it gets cold when they are feeling any strong emotions. Malcolm is always professional and calm with Cole, but when he's destressed about his wife or realizing he's dead, it goes cold. We're also told that they see whatever they wanna see. If I can steal from The Matrix, we get something of Malcolm's residual self image, before he comes to terms and while he addresses his unfinished business.

Mike Elder

Same to you!!

Lenear Boyd

Sure, but that's before he tries to talk to them. He's a scared kid so that's how he interprets it.

Teth

i'm pretty sure they mentioned that the temperature only goes down when the dead person is distressed. Also, hope you have a great New years eve!

Mister_Bleak

The kid verbatim says when they're angry. That's all I'm basing this off of

Slimsycentaur37

Haven’t watched the reaction yet but I’m betting Mr Boyd figures it out before he’s led to it.

John Dodo

The cold seemed more to do with heightened emotions? Malcolm rarely had that with Cole, if at all.

Mr Kitty

Alright. Interesting choice for the holidays, but I never turn this one down! It's one of those movies that's just as impressive purely as a drama even if you remove the horror aspect. Especially the performances from Toni Collette and Haley Joel Osment. Possibly the best child actor performance after Kirsten Dunst in Interview with the Vampire? Another fantastic movie in this kind of pensive gothic horror/drama style is The Others (2001).

Teth

I assume the cold things is abut emotional intensity rather than just anger, as in they're not always affecting the world around them to the same degree. Same thing about whether they're able to physically interact with anything. The only time Malcom does is when he sees his wife kissing someone else. She's also the only one who gets cold around him. Not all the ghosts are angry, there's just a higher likelihood that they are or they would have moved on. 😄

Teth

So this is M. Night Shymalan (who also plays the doctor who confronts Cole's mother, he does lots of cameos in his movies) He's well known for his 'twist' endings, to the extent that it pretty much ruined his career as his movies kept going from 'twists' to 'shocking swerves' to try and maintain that reputation. In my opinion, at least. Still had some good ones, one of his best I personally think is Unbreakable.

Molly McAllister

Something that was pointed-out in the DvD extras. Dr. Crowe changes clothes, but Only into clothes that he wore on the day he died. (also, I think that shot was more through a kidney than through the stomach, sudden blood-loss and shock kept the pain from hitting most likely.)

Molly McAllister

The little girl never actually 'picked-up' the box. She just scooted it along the floor. I dunno how ghosts work but there's probably some rules and limitations. Like she could probably only be empowered to do that much in the presence of a medium.

Molly McAllister

This boy sees dead people, and like 'Stuttering Stanley' said they live in one of the oldest cities in the country... it's 'Dead-People' Central there.

Molly McAllister

The 'people on the rope' seem... resigned... indifferent. Which is to say, not angry.

Molly McAllister

Ok it's only cold when the ghost is angry so why would the main character be cold if he's not upset. And it was cold in the basement cause Vincent brought along the ghost. She didn't drop the tape in front of him cause he probably would've dismissed it or possibly freaked out seeing a random box drop in front of him lol it would be much more effective to have her "friend" bring it to him from her. And the hanging people, maybe they felt they deserved it so weren't angry idk lmao

Slimsycentaur37

The papers Dr. Crowe was reading mentioned 'Referrals', and he did say he had an appointment. I think it can be assumed he met the parents/parent off-screen prior to all this, possibly last Fall. ...that first-session he 'missed'.

Molly McAllister

?? Not sure if being serious or facetious.. It's been a long-running understanding, I'd assumed nearly everybody knew it but I guess... anyway. "Sixth Sense." is a term used to refer to psychic phenomena, or specifically psychic phenomena centered around individuals. Extra-Sensory perception (ESP), Telepathy and of course... perceiving and speaking-with the spirits of the dead.

Molly McAllister

Sheeit! We're seeing dead ppl now. Let's get it!

Dustin Puhalski

dang you beat me to the punch !

Samuel Avetisyan

i give you 5 minutes to figure it out lmao
