2024-06-29 00:58:22 +0000 UTCI loved this movie growing up but as a mom I can no longer watch it. It'll mess me up for days.

2023-11-04 00:14:42 +0000 UTCI don't know. A few other Patreons watch this on the fire stick and it works. Maybe someone here can help you out?

2023-10-22 09:11:18 +0000 UTCWe're using a firestick to watch on our TV. For some reason there's only sound? I can watch other creators ok but they aren't long movies, just music. I've reset, cleared cookies and cache. Anyone have any suggestions? We're dieing to watch this! Thanks 👍

2023-10-18 17:18:24 +0000 UTCI remember when the movie first came out, there was talk about the movie and novella ending difference. The novella ended with David thinking he heard something over a radio they found and keep going through hope. it ended with no definite knowledge that they found anything or that anything got better it was just a mystery. This ending however showed despair. Where after essentially giving up hope, if they waited a little bit longer they would have been okay in the end.

2023-10-18 03:00:55 +0000 UTCThe director’s ending out-Stephen-King’ed Stephen King, which is tough to do. So many faces from early seasons of The Walking Dead. I was half-expecting the dad to scream, “Carl!”

2023-10-18 02:17:56 +0000 UTCWhy didn't they just hide in the store room? The big octopus couldn't break the door and it's light proof. Why did they hang out next to the windows?

2023-10-18 01:26:42 +0000 UTCwhew! that one made me angry! they sure did a great job of stirring emotions. also, do captions bother you? genuinely asking. because there were a bunch of moments with whispers that couldn't be heard very well... i notice you tend to turn them off, which is why i ask.

2023-10-18 00:42:12 +0000 UTCDarker for Jane. Not for all of humanity. In the movie, it looks like the army is able to clean things up a bit. In the book, the world is completely screwed.

2023-10-17 22:04:19 +0000 UTCMy god this is the first time I’ve properly seen this movie and the pain I feel isn’t normal! Maybe it’s because I’m about to be a dad myself but wow that was a hard one to watch. Great reaction bro I was right there with you..

2023-10-17 21:45:58 +0000 UTCI have seen tons of movies, loads of horrors, endured a great amount of annoying characters, but that horrible female creature is the worst thing I've ever encountered in a movie. I won't even call it woman, as it means it's human, and the reality of that these people exist is worse for me than anything else. That is the true horror of this movie. Except the ending, which is not in the book, but King liked it more than his own... they've basically upgraded his book and added one extra layer in the end. Genius, but very difficult to watch.

2023-10-17 19:22:42 +0000 UTCI agree didnt like the lead actress.

2023-10-17 19:20:32 +0000 UTCThis is actually the first time I've watched this movie since the first time. It scarred me too. I didnt ever want to watch it again after that ending. I now dont want to ever watch it again. The psychological impact is the wildest i've ever encountered for a work of fiction. Stephen King be like that though. At least with shawshank redemption (he wrote that too!) the ending is happy,

2023-10-17 15:00:52 +0000 UTCI feel like this is darker in the long term too. There can't possibly be a more painful existence than living with what Jane's character did, and it's not like it'll get better. :/

2023-10-17 11:01:00 +0000 UTCLove the movie but I'm never watching it again because of that ending. I saw it once like 15 years ago and it's still painful to think of. When you run out of gas (and hope) what they did makes sense, (to borrow a line from Denethor, "go now and die in what way seems best to you") but they should have just rolled the car off a cliff so they could all go together.

2023-10-17 10:59:04 +0000 UTCThere's a whole breakdown on the Mist and Fear, how the more fear you have it can kinda feed off you and sends more crazy things. The first lady was stress/worried about getting home to her kids (not fearing the Mist but more for/about her kids). Towards the end as their gas is running out and things become more and more uncertain, the see the last big monster in the mist... when gas finally runs out, they too are out of 'running' and decide they'd rather die by bullet than face the fears of whatever is outside. At the end when main father has nothing left to lose, fears nothing in the mist and is ready to turn himself over to it, only then can he be 'found' and mist around him almost immediately disperses. It makes more sense when you think that the Mist is part of the paranormal multiverse window cracking and letting something through... or maybe we got lucky and all that got 'through' was the shadows/reflections of what was there and not truly the insanity of the other side.

2023-10-17 09:09:52 +0000 UTCSmile... Hahaaaaaaa, Smile huh? I'ma let you finish. But the lead actress was so terrible, and wooden, I was like "Ha! Her parents have got to be in movies!" Looked it up. Boom. Keven Bacon's daughter. She's so bad! Feels bad man... I would recommend Barbarian.

2023-10-17 07:01:47 +0000 UTCIt’s directed by the director of the walking dead

2023-10-17 04:54:31 +0000 UTCI thought Smile was great, too. Really suprised me cause I put off watching it, thinking it would be lousy, but it was my favorite horror movie of the year

2023-10-17 03:20:16 +0000 UTCThe girl that got stung. The critter landed on her left side, it's tail swung around to get her on the right side, you could see the sting-wound seeping.

2023-10-17 02:46:01 +0000 UTCOhhh buddy, this one disturbs me BADLY. I love it. Bro, you called it off the bat- they should've sent homicidal scripture lady outside from the rip.
Jake Martin
2023-10-16 23:40:51 +0000 UTCThey didn't want to be eaten alive. Better go out with one bullet. King liked this ending more than his original. It is darker in the short term but long term the mist doesn't go away in the book and months later the whole planet is covered in the mist.
