HP6 FULL REACTION

Comments

They didn't walk in and kill Dumbledore because Draco was the one ordered to do it, not Bellatrix.

TyphlosionGang

The cup didn't teleport away, it's in front of Hagrid with the other cup. It just blends in with the shadow

Caleb

cba to read 47 comments lol, but yeah. u are missing alot of context, which is explained in the books. When Dumbledore was traveling between terms, he was looking, and found Tom Riddles hiding spot for a horcrux. The spot was actually shown in a picture in the memory where Dumbledore met Tom for the first time. Tom used to go there with the orphanage for trips which is explained in the books.. :)

Christian Zwisler

Kind of starting to worry you've lost the footage, for the next one, or something. Maybe you don't know this, but it sure ain't up.

Mike Elder

when he says he knew a boy that made all the wrong choices he's talking about Grindelwald.

Michael Sweeten

And if I remember correctly which I might not, I read it a LONG time ago, but in the book, Dumbledore pushes Snape to protect Malfoy. Basically he takes the unbreakable vow because of Dumbledore. And I think it was a bit more clear that if Draco didn't kill Dumbledore he was dead so Snape HAD to kill Dumbledore to protect Malfoy. To me this was obvious in the book but I seem to recall my sister or mother not having the same interpretation as I did.

TigerMyth

It was magic. Interdimensional time traveling cup. Temporarily relocates when a friend is in need of a drink. So yeah. Magic. lol. The better question is why did Daenerys have Starbucks coffee after the Night King was defeated.

TigerMyth

A bit confused by your reaction to Ron and the moon scene. It was clear that chick was trying to dose Harry with a love potion but Ron ate the whole box. It isn't a normal conversation that guys would have because Ron is drunk on love potions. An earlier scene mentioned the chick was looking into love potions and had a crush on Harry.

TigerMyth

The first 6 books in Potter series were released before the first Twilight book. There is teen romance in the books because teens fall in love. Heck even easier at Hogwarts because you are around each other all day and night.

TigerMyth

I always felt that the initial idea was for Sirius to return or Harry on another adventure after the main story was completed, would seek out the truth of the Arch and find / return Sirius. Even though Rowling has said he is dead, I don't believe it. He is just locked in the Arch universe waiting to be saved one day.

TigerMyth

When Sirius died his body vanished because he fell through that archway. It wasn't from the spell. For some reason they didn't mention that archway at all during the movie, which is a shame because I found it to be very interesting. The original ministry members found that archway, it can't be moved or destroyed. The Ministry of Magic was actually built around that archway so that they could study it, protect it and keep it secret. It seems to be a physical portal to the afterlife, but it is never confirmed because the ministry aren't even 100% sure what it is. They only know that if you go through it, you will not return.

Nicholas Johnson

I'm for it! How 'bout Picard? I found it to be a very satisfying end to the series.

YESSSS THANK YOUUU

Today

Lenear Boyd

hi! no pressure at all when I ask this but is there a day/date we could expect the next hp movie reaction to be released?

Tia Hulse

you should stream some Star Trek episodes or movies personally My favorite movie is First Contact

Lonnie Vannatter

No more romance for the next two movies ahahah we good bro

Billy

I feel like this movie has been more of a spy feeling with Harry trying to cozy up to Slughorn with the parties to gain information. They didn't pull the romance out of nowhere also. While it did get excessive, the stuff they showed did happen in the books. They just made it more front and center.

William P. Esping

Tosser is british slang for pendejo

You won’t regret it! My husband took out a whole red wasp nest this week with it. It was glorious!

Adding the shredder to my amazon cart!

Lenear Boyd

The excessive teen romance thing comes from creators of the movie trying to copy the success of the Twilight movies😮‍💨 Would have preferred a bit more action with Dumbledor, Tom Riddle backstory or a bit more teasing who the Half Blood Prince is😅

gak9319

I cracked up when I saw you pull out the bug a salt gun. If you don’t already have it, you will LOVE getting and using the pistol version called the “shredder”. It is more powerful and uses a CO2 cartridge. Only those of us harassed by monster bugs can truly appreciate those toys. 😂

Sharona

I think there are two cups in front of hagrid

Kyle Komperda

It can be in the film but Mr. Boyd didn't catch up on it. To me this is a good thing so I can see his reaction in later movies when things become clear. Yeah, your right. I hope it's his moderator ;)

Dasypodidae

As I thought I explained, all the information I provided is within the film. I was going to edit it anyway, but I didn't as the comment had already been liked and this seen by mrlboyd

Mister_Bleak

Have you already edited your initial comment? Because I think the spoiler is still in there. You can edit comments you know.

Dasypodidae

Spoiler Alert 🤦🏽‍♀️

Funny that you said most kids there age has nice skins. They're going through puberty. Nice skin is often difficult to come by 🤣 You have to remember: 1) They're teenagers and they a mimicing lives/issues teens have including dating drama. 2) The movies are based on books, most of them were over 600 pages. This means a lot is left out of the movies. I agree that they spent a little too much time on the romance. It's definitely not such a big focus in the books.

Shara Wade

Didn't think of that. Never did read the books. Saw this one in theaters. This is what I gathered from the information given. Didn't see it as spoilery as a result but I guess it could be seen that way. Apologies.

Mister_Bleak

There was so much more in the book besides romance they could have gone with and just put the romance aspects as a bit of filler here and there. Was kinda disappointed with the direction they decided to go in with this one. Buckle up for the last two though 💜

Alyssa Dyson

Sir I think this comment is somewhat spoiler-y. I think the audience is meant to be a little bit confused about Snape's allegiance until all is revealed in HP8. I know I was, and it made certain scenes in HP8 more impactful for me because I didn't know who Snape really was until all that was revealed. If I had just finished HP6 for the first time and someone had explained to me what you just explained and told me they knew all that from having seen/read the rest of the series, I would be upset that they made me privy to that information.

Jeremiah Smith

Great reaction man. I agree with you about the romance in this one. I think it was mostly to establish Harry with Ginny and Ron with Hermione but they could have done that with much more brevity and less tedium I feel. Still, the rest of the movie aside from that stuff was great and I enjoyed how dark this one is. I very much look forward to your reactions to 7 and 8 (especially 8). Keep up the good work!

Jeremiah Smith

dude I find that scene at hagrids when the cup disappeared off the table really interesting never noticed it. whats trippy is they were just talking about things dissapearing and going poof a few seconds before the cup went poof, good work mr

Crispin

Also dumbledore didn't die to the actual spell he died from the fall. In the books it is specifically stated that you have to absolutely want to hurt or end someone with the unforgivable curses for them to work thats why when harry hit bellatrix with the torture curse it just knocked her over. Snape didn't want to end dumbledore so instead of his curse ending him on the spot it threw him backwards off the balcony

Convulsion Gaming

Snape is the halfblood Prince bcause one of his parents was a muggle who's last name was Prince. If voldamort who is a halfblood and in a sense the halfblood king with Snape being his most trusted follower that would make Snape the halfblood Prince in return. So the halfblood Prince has a double meaning that is also why Prince is capitalized.

Convulsion Gaming

this one was a good bit of fun. A couple of things i can elaborate on: when Sirius died you saw his soul leave his body. His body remained present. When Harry cast the spell against Drako (the one that nearly killed Drako), they decided to get rid of the book because the spell was learned from reading the half-blood princes notes within the book. This is why Snape uttered about using his own spells against him. he wrote the spell in that book's notes. Snape has been playing both sides...a double agent. However, he was forced to bind himself to that oath. He chose to kill Dumbledoore in Drakos place in order to spare his innocence, keep himself from dying due to a failed oath, and to maintain his critical role as a spy within the Voldemorts' group. Hope this helps.

Mister_Bleak

One thing I want to put out there is how the portrayal of Snape in the movies is really tame compared to the books. He's mean, a bully, sassy, sarcastic, on screen, and people who love Snape (there are a lot of them) only do so because of Alan Rickman's performance. In the books he's not just a bully, he more or less tortures the kids he's teaching. Mind you, the school is wild. But generally the teachers try their best to at least be professional. Snape has been known to, at least attempt to, kill the pets of students who fail in his classes. Young kids. He's a right prick. It's played off as a joke in an earlier movie how the thing Neville fears most in the world is Professor Snape. He was thirteen. Snape is a horrible person, is what I'm trying to get at.

Jakob

please keep in mind that draco did not choose himself to be the one voldemort wanted to kill dumbledore. he was forced into it and says towards the end that he would be killed otherwise (probably his entire family too). we see him throughout the movie extremely stressed and breaking down crying at multiple points because he does not truly want to go through with it. at the end he does not want to kill dumbledore and that is why snape interferes as he swore in the unbreakable vow to carry out draco's mission if he failed. is he a good person? absolutely not. but he's not inherently evil either, just a scared kid. also,, about slytherin house, slytherin are not a house of evil people. in the very first movie, ron says "theres not a witch or wizard who went bad that wasnt in slytherin" which many misinterpret to mean that all slytherins turn into evil people. this is untrue. it simply means that every wizard that has gone bad in the past happens to be from there due to the type of personality traits slytherins possess. HOWEVER the majority of slytherin house has always been fairly positive despite the few individuals harry's story intertwines with, which is why the view of slytherins is skewed in these movies towards a more negative connotation

peyten

Most of the movies are decent adaptations. This one does miss a lot of backstory.

Ruben VL

Same, although the actor stated that he had a serious drinking problem and he was often drunk during shoots. In this case it really added to the performance.

Ruben VL

Cave juice 🤣🤣

Crystal Moore

I haven't seen this movie in 9 years and I forgot how much I LOVE "lucky" Harry's mannerisms and things. "Not to mention the pincers. *click click, click click*

EndlessRiver

Another Sleeper drop, but I'm here. Edit: Spell he uses on Draco is from the half blood prince in part he read in the scene before that, don't think he knew how destructive it was. Isn't the missing cup just sitting on wrong side just right of Hagrid's cup? (a continuity error either way) [never-mind, you brought this up later.] Storm for every Harry Potter Night. Sirius dissolved into that rock, it was a special arch. They omitted things from past movies, so they tried to add them back into this one as well as this book's narrative, so it really was like 2 movies.

Triforce of Shadows

Bro, I love this shit. Never thought I'd be a fan of HP. Is there any way we can get both parts of the last one, same day?? I'd even be willing to sweeten the pot... I'll venmo you a dollar. Boom! Deal made?
