2023-10-22 05:53:59 +0000 UTCYou keep calling Daenerys crazy and unhinged but she has done everything, everything that her advisors have asked! But this bu11$hit, sent her over the edge! And I don't blame her. If my best friend in the world said "dracarys" right before this bi7ch chopped her head off....oh, I would have lit everybody up! Now if Misande had said "peace and forgiveness", It might have been a different story but she didn't she said "DRACARYS!"

2023-08-03 07:21:43 +0000 UTCYou were right in the end, but that doesn't make you right. Jaime had a redemption arc which the idiots writing the show ruined. Yes from day 1, he was terrible but with many of his actions once he met Brienne, he want from black hearted to shades of gray. When this episode came out, there were a ton of people angry with the arc ending. Some folks held on to hope that he was just letting Brienne down easy because he was headed back to kill Cersei and he knew he would die. The whole problem with season 8. Too many loose ends, not enough episodes for any of these plots to be fully formed and fleshed out. Everything felt rushed and out of place for the most part. Same thing happened to Rome, so if you ever watch season 1, skip season 2 which was a combined season 2 & 3.

2023-07-30 07:42:13 +0000 UTCI think Jamie wanted to be the person Brianne saw in him. That’s what makes his character so tragic. He grasps at honor and always lets it slip away.

2023-07-18 01:43:18 +0000 UTCIt’s not as creepy as it sounds lol. Most conversations of that sort discuss sex anyway. I just mean anything that if she decides to remove consent after the fact it can be proven wrong. It happened to a friend of mine and ruined his life. So I’ll say something like “I can’t wait until…” or “I really liked how you…”. Most pre and post coital conversations lean that way anyway

2023-07-12 12:55:29 +0000 UTCRegarding Benjen Stark - The Night King at one point only injured him, leaving him only partially turned. The children of the forest found him and were able to help stop the transformation but could not reverse it (if I remember correctly). Being that he was partially transformed into the undead, he was subject to the spells put upon the wall that prevented the Night King and the undead from passing it - hence he remained north and was able to assist when those from the wall came out and found themselves in trouble. When the Night King was killed, like all the other undead, the spell was lifted, his transformation was removed and he was finally able to recover from the wounds the Night King left him with.

2023-07-09 15:22:17 +0000 UTCYou must've fell asleep through half the episodes in the series lmao and Dany has a sense of entitlement. A spoiled rich brat crying cause she wasn't handed her daddy's company like she supposedly "deserves", and nobody respects her there because she comes off conceited and has never spent time ith the people to earn their respect. Dany didn't want the throne her whole life. Her brother Viserys was the one who did. Dany only recently said she was owed the throne when Viserys was out of the picture and after she "birthed" her dragons, which were gifted to her, not earned. She has barely suffered or struggled and does not know the meaning of hard work. Her struggle was spending a few days in a desert and being married off to someone she doesn't love while her followers have starved, tortured, or have been in slavery or poverty for their entire lives. Cry me a river, she's soft and selfish and the people around her have fought, not her. Did you see how she threw Jorah's body right in front of the sword to protect herself? Lmao She doesn't deserve shit and is selfish

2023-07-09 15:18:20 +0000 UTCDany did roast him. Just, to no avail. It had already been established multiple times that fire doesn't affect white walkers and in fact the presence of white walkers actually quells fire. Wouldn't have made any sense for him to suddenly be vulnerable to fire after the show had established that he is not vulnerable to fire. And no I don't accept the argument that "but it's dragonfire though so it should have worked because magic". Yes, dragonfire is magic, but so is the Night King and so is his invulnerability to all forms of fire. Also wholeheartedly disagree that Arya killing him is "cheap". I don't really see logically how that follows. I'm definitely with Molly and MrLBoyd on this one.

2023-07-08 14:39:34 +0000 UTCThe same good her dagger would cause they're made of the same material but his is a longsword and hers is a small dagger? Lol and Arya is human too, so idk how that's relevant, and she gets caught sneaking and then grabbed by the throat, skin on skin contact, by the night king and doesn't die 🤨. And then he watches her drop the dagger into her hand and then stab clean through plate armor with little leverage or force behind it lmao it's terrible

2023-07-07 06:48:53 +0000 UTCWhat good would that sword do lol. The night king would easily crush him before it came close to cutting him. No human can beat him in a straight fight. A sneak attack like this is the only way.

2023-07-07 05:22:23 +0000 UTCAbsolutely 💯 My faves are The Hound, Arya, Theon and the Lannisters (Yes they are terrible except Tyrion but they are all so well written).
Drewcliff82
2023-07-07 05:19:10 +0000 UTCOk fell asleep last night so had to watch episode 4 tonight. So far since Danny has came to Westeros she lost her allies she made, she's lost 2 dragons, Jorah and a huge chunk of her army. Tyrion has made mistake after mistake, no one here loves or accepts her, the man she loves turns out to be her nephew, is the rightful heir to the throne she has fought tooth and nail for years to get and no longer wants to be with her. Now Missandie dies. All she has left is Greyworm and Drogon. She was already a bit unhinged in Essos. Now it's on another level. I think Jamie just can't help it. Cersie has him completely brain washed and for such a long time it's irreversible. Every once in a while we get a glimpse at the man he would have been without Cersie but it's too late for that. He's doomed.
Drewcliff82
2023-07-07 05:16:11 +0000 UTCBINGO! Every person throughout her entire journey was part of her destiny. Syrio was preparing her. Jaqen gave her the nod of approval when he knew she was ready. It was always there.

2023-07-07 01:41:19 +0000 UTCI have ALWAYS said that Arya is the greatest character. People who were angry about that ending weren’t paying attention from season one. She’s always had main character energy!

2023-07-07 01:37:15 +0000 UTCMy wife (the one that asked me the questions using your document) reminded me what the question was after I made the video, I completely forgot because I just took for granted that Daenerys couldn't have kids. Lenear Boyd
2023-07-07 01:33:34 +0000 UTCI’m the one who sent you the questionnaire!! The pregnancy question was: Will Daenerys have a child? At the time, the fandom thought that Daenerys and Jon would have a kid because they keep foreshadowing it. There were a lot of lines saying that Daenerys couldn’t have a kid because of the witch, remember?

2023-07-06 22:41:42 +0000 UTCI think the Jaime disconnect has something to do with fans of the books having issues with the liberties the showrunners took after they ran out of books and then disregarded the supplemental materials the original author provided. It does seem kinda outta left-field for Jaime to come such a long way only to just turn right back around at the 11th hour and throw that all away. It doesn't make sense. ...but, what Did make sense was a thing that the fans predicted because they pay attention, and the showrunners took that personally.
Molly McAllister
2023-07-06 21:32:44 +0000 UTCMan I'm gonna miss these videos. You truly have crushed it on this show. I have a feeling you will enjoy these last 2 more than most do. 2023-07-06 20:43:30 +0000 UTCWhat's really messed-up? The Targaryan dynasty has a history of... 'keeping it in the family'... It's not the prospect of their family tree not forking that's her put-off, it's the potential threat to her claim to the Iron Throne, something the poor girl has built her entire trauma gonga-line influenced Identity around. She could have had a good thing, divide the world into an Eastern and Western Targaryan dynasty. Her in Essos, Jon in Westeros... but she's had it built up forever that all the awfulness she's experienced until now has had one purpose and one purpose alone, the Iron Throne.

2023-07-06 16:45:25 +0000 UTCI know why they did the dark fight but it was simply too dark. I get that it saved them a TON of money by hiding effects in darkness but they did such a good job with all of the battles up until this one and I think it was simply to hard to see much of anything. Also the battle didn't make much sense. The charge into darkness with swords ablazing may have looked cool but make zero battle sense. Even with the light from the swords, they had zero idea what they were charging into. Once things really picked up it started looking much better but the snow mist aggravated me more than the darkness. lol.

2023-07-06 15:02:32 +0000 UTCMy main beef was the execution. They should have had her use her face skills showing her run through the battle with the face of the walking dead. Instead we get her running through the entire army and then somehow dropping down from above. I just felt the whole thing was poorly executed and could have been done better with the same result. And yes, lots of folks thought the build up with Jon pointed to him ending ending the Night King and no I disagree that the show foreshadowed her ending it in ANY way. She didn't even know the existence of the night king until the end. Even Bran killing the night king would have made more sense than Arya the way it was executed.

2023-07-06 13:08:34 +0000 UTCYea to me a scenario like this was the only way he could be defeated. What he did to Theon is what happens when you try to fight him. He would easily have done something similar to Jon.
Drewcliff82
2023-07-06 12:45:19 +0000 UTCPeople had problems with Arya killing the Night King, they thought it should have been Jon. Personally, it fits her arc perfectly. She spent 3 seasons perfecting the art of being a sneaky assassin and an expert killer. It makes sense. That list is very interesting, you definitely need to check in with us again with it when the show finishes

2023-07-06 09:32:23 +0000 UTCI'm sorry! I still think Jon is a bitch for just bouncing on Ghost. 2023-07-06 08:54:38 +0000 UTCArya: "I'm not a lady, I never have been. That's not me." What's tripping you up here is the definition of 'Lady'. It's not about being a person in possession of a vagina while being a descendent of a noble house. Being a Lady is about dresses and formal banquets and curtsies and smiles and petty politics and Big politics and running a Hearth and Hold while there's no Lord about. that's not Arya, it never has been.

2023-07-06 08:37:06 +0000 UTCYour comment about learning. I'm a student of wing tsun, I've done it a very long time now and am still drawing from what feels like an endless well of knowledge. There is a great quote from grandmaster Ip Mann that not very many people know and I think you will find it interesting. In relation to knowledge/learning: "It's not till you reach the top of the mountain, that you see how far it goes". My interpretation of that is that you don't realize how little you know until you think you have reached the peak.
Matt Rumsey
2023-07-06 08:34:47 +0000 UTC....I think you're misreading Danaerys in that feasting scene in episode 3. It's not about praise, not really. She's gotten praise on the regular 'til now, yeah... but that's not what she's craving, she's craving something she didn't even know she missed until now. Fellowship. She has plenty of followers, worshipers even... but she doesn't have any Friends.
Molly McAllister
2023-07-06 08:05:33 +0000 UTCCatching-up, catching-up... I don't think Jaime has changed, or rather, he's reverting. I think what you're seeing now isn't Jaime turning over a new leaf, I think it's Jaime going back to what he used to be (or at least Hoped to be) before he became the Kingslayer. That really did ruin him, and left him open to Cersei's predations and all the other bad things. I've said it before but I'll have to repeat myself. You've postulated, from interpretations of evidence and no doubt your own poor opinion of Jaime at the time, that he ultimately slew The Mad King for purely self-interested reasons. And I'm telling you That's Irrelevant. It's completely irrelevant if he killed Aegon because he was going to burn-down all the puppy-orphanages in Westeros or if he killed Aegon for cancelling Taco Tuesday. None of that matters in Westeros. In Westeros, it's all about the Oaths. You make an Oath, you KEEP the Oath, even if keeping that oath leads you to evil you still better do it because by the morals of Westeros doing evil in the service of an Oath is less evil than breaking the Oath. Once Jamie broke his Oath as a King's Guard he was considered basically irredeemable by pretty-much everybody. So there you have Jaime, who'd dreamed of being one of those shining knights in tales of yor, all noble and honorable and good, and now that's all flushed down the privy and forever out of his reach. Sure, fuck your sister Jamie, sire a pack of bastards under the current king's nose, what can they do? Damn you twice? We've seen hints of that here and there all the way back to season 1, his first instinct was to save Bran from falling... then he remembered he's a villain and he's Cersei's henchman. You could see him getting excited for his fight with Ned Stark, a right proper honorable duel between peers and... and then one of the guards cheated. Ah well, once a Kingslayer always a Kingslayer, once an Oath-Breaker always an Oath-Breaker, why bother trying to change what can't be changed? But here, something's come along that's bigger than all that, bigger than Oaths and bigger than Kings and bigger than the traditions that enforce the rule of both. Big enough to convince him to snap out of this perpetual pity-party he's been stuck in and leave Cersei and go do what he was born to do, be a Knight.

2023-07-06 06:24:40 +0000 UTCBran is still learning how to use his powers. He can see the past and present from his lessons with the previous 3eyed raven. However he only gets glimpses of the future. And even if by chance he could the previous 3eyed raven warned him not to meddle. Who knows if by letting the NK in Arya would have got him immediately before he killed bran? Arya herself didn’t even know her true mission until Melisandre reminded her. Blue Eyes. That also answers your question about how Arya separated from Melisandre and the hound. She ran out after she realized what it meant.
Kamilya Freshwater
2023-07-06 06:20:39 +0000 UTCSome people felt Arya's takedown of the Night King was cheap because they payed attention to supplementary materials from George R. R. Martin laying down histories of Westeros and there were prophecies and things and all sorts of hints at there being a 'three-headed dragon' which may or may not have been literal so the Night King may have needed the strength of three (possibly very specific) people to bring him down, things about maybe there needing to be a quest to forge a special super-sword that could take him down because all the regular anti-White-Walker stuff wouldn't work... and the show-runners threw all that in the bin because they'd gotten past where the Books were and thought they knew better than George and that upset some people. Some people didn't like Arya's takedown of the Night King because they're sexist incels and don't like the idea of a 'Wahmyn' getting the W.

2023-07-06 06:01:10 +0000 UTCAlso, the flaming sword... For fight scenes they had a sword with channel cut through it, which was stuffed with a fireproof material called Dura-blanket. They soaked that in alcohol, and then put a layer of dura-blanket over the sides of the sword, so you couldn't see the holes. They also had a more badass one for when they needed it to ignite, that had propane running through it and a pilot light, that you could ignite like a gas grill... That one also had fake blood reservoirs, you could release with a button on the handle, next to the pilot igniter, for scenes when he had to "cut" himself.

Even though the Bravos stuff had some slow parts I've always loved her. The red woman saying she would shut many eyes forever, Brown eyes, green eyes and BLUE EYES was so true. The Hound is so terrified of fire but he overcame all that for her. Jorah dying for Danny was so fitting as well. He wouldn't succumb to his injuries until it was over. On to the next.

BTW, I have a few daggers made from obsidian. i boght them while i was a truck driver at native American souvenir shops. very well made, not cheap, super super sharp. if youre interested i can give you a couple vendors where you can order one. the ones i bought were right at $100, with antler handles, and one with a sandalwood handle. they are brittle and break easy, Arya definitely not going to be using them for throwing daggers, they would shatter. they are great for slicing, even stabbing in soft places. have used obsidian to skin deer and wild hogs. but like ceramic knives they will break if dropped or used roughly. theres a bit of a learning curve. in fact i remember you say you were going to Moab Ut soon. there is a place near there caled the whole in the wall. they have a very nice selection there. also other very cool things to check out in Hole in the Wall. my wife, when she was alive, always made me stop there to buy her jewerly, pet the animals in the petting zoo, and i would always get a new obsidian dagger there.

2023-07-06 04:25:21 +0000 UTCI mean, I don't think he gaaaave her anything. She TOOK that shit. And it was the most uncomfortable for me too. We watched her grow up. And not just up, but into the badass lil sister that you call when you need a bitch's ass beat... So yeah. Blah!

2023-07-06 04:20:12 +0000 UTCI can assure you it is not his fault and it probably troubles him a lot more than you think. It is just a case where you both have to figure out how to manage these situations.

2023-07-06 03:56:21 +0000 UTCEpisode 2 - 10 out of 10 for me (Along with several other episodes from this show). I agree 100% with you that Brienne being knighted is one of the best moments in the entire series. No one is more deserving. As I've said before, Jamie is a good person at heart but Cersie is like crack for him. So hard for him to quit. So many crazy emotions in this one. Pod is also a super underrated character. He should have been something more but that incident with that guy who stole the ham kinda ruined his future for a bit. Now he is great again. I love your take on Danny's emotional swings too. She is so used to being loved and adored by the masses but in Westeros she doesn't have that. Seeing how people love Jon and Sansa is really getting to her. On to episode 3 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️ 🧟♂️ 🧟♀️

2023-07-06 02:35:45 +0000 UTCJaime "swoons" more than medieval women, lol. 😳 I'm ashamed to say that in the very first scene that man appeared in in episode 1 I swore I could forgive that face anything.

2023-07-06 01:50:07 +0000 UTCYou've mentioned Asperger's many, many times before... I don't think I internalized that until Gendry gave Arya the spear, and then gave Arya 'the spear' and I saw the look on your face like you Didn't see that coming. >xD

2023-07-06 01:48:34 +0000 UTCI think, personally for me, it's about patterns. I feel like women have manipulated me in the past this way and I identified it as a pattern but I have learnt that it doesn't mean that ALL women do that, it is just that my mind goes there and I have to work harder to see if someone is trying to manipulate me or they're crying because of other reason. Asperger's brains are tricky and we don't learn or process things the same way but it is always my first reaction and I think it's a trigger for a lot of autistic people too.

2023-07-06 01:32:33 +0000 UTCEh, women can manipulate you in other ways than crying lol. Even when you think they aren't, they are.

2023-07-06 01:19:32 +0000 UTCYay! 3 episodes! Forgive me if this is overstepping, but I'm in a long term relationship with a scientist with aspbergers. He also used to have a hard time with crying (still kind of does). I can't speak to your situation, but know that crying for some people is an involuntary thing. If I'm feeling emotional, I can control what I say, how I respond and every action I do except for crying lol. Belive me, I wish I could. Then sometimes, I'll cry harder because I'm mad that I'm crying. It's really annoying. It's fine if that's where you brain goes, just know it's not always the case. Anyway, I love your reactions. Keep it up.

2023-07-06 01:04:03 +0000 UTCThere's another old saying. An amateur practices until he gets it right but a professional practices till he can't get it wrong. Also the red woman gave the dothraki flaming swords to kill the wights and white walkers. Ser Gorah and the the unsullied didn't need them because he has a valerian steel sword and the have dragon glass lances and knives.
