GOT 6 - 910

Comments

Sarcasm. Daenarys uses it a lot. You missed a lot because you did not understand it.

Nathan Hale

Y’all, the score for this episode always brings me back to it. From the stealthy piano as Cersei’s plot unfolds, to the majestic/ominous drumbeats at the close, the music tells the story with such eloquence. You could do a stick-figures version of this finale and the music would still convey so much emotion. And yes, Arya is the best. I have to add Tyrion to the top tier of essential characters. I used to dread seeing him possibly killed off, because Tyrion is kind of the glue that holds the show together, isn’t he? He’s both a protagonist and an observer; an extension of the audience

Susan B

This video is both episodes: 9 (battle of the bastards) and 10 (the winds of winter)

Lenear Boyd

Missing episode 9 of this season, The Winds of Winter

Susan B

forearm handshakes are what is done when a pact is made. handshakes for little business deals.

Silmoheru Rosaslie

when i first scene this my wife was laughing so hard because as soon as the Knights Vale came over the hill I stood up and f@@ you Bastard and than flipped him off

Lonnie Vannatter

Lol when Tormund and the onion knight are talking about shitting their guts out "Is that something you should be talking about in polite conversation?"... but they're 2 career soldiers literally IN war camp the night before a big battle... I don't think conversations get any raunchier than middle ages serfs right before war lol, definitely not polite conversation

PuckTheFenguins

My argument is that nobody would believe that story except for the people who were there.

Ashley

"It shall not end until my death", is also part of the oath. His death ends his oath

Mikel Swart

It does also say, "For All nights to come". One could take that as, "As long as he's alive in any way, his life belongs to the Night's Watch for all nights to come".

Drewcliff82

Super underrated show forsure.

Drewcliff82

I know Ned is not Jon Snow’s father but he does have Stark blood cuz Lyanna is his mother, so he is a Stark. But how fitting was it that The Starks avenged The Red Wedding. John & Sansa took care of The Bolton’s. Remember it was Roose Bolton who stabbed Robb Stark in the heart and he was given The North and Winterfell by Tywin Lannister because of it. And Then Arya butchered The Freys, Walder in particular, for their part in The Red Wedding. It was just soooo satisfying.

Virgogrl

Whats RRR? I may need to check it out as well!!! 🤣

PatronPioneer

Just glad to finally get here to see your reaction to the battle of the bastards. Not sure what it’s called in cinematography but the long uncut shot of following Jon snow through the battle. It really isolates you on exactly what the director is trying to convey with that shot. I’ve seen this before in other films but that shot with the cameras used combined with the score was epic. 👍👍

John Dodo

I agree but I only realized it after I had rewatched the show. I think seeing it the first time the battle is so overwhelming the little details like that get lost. But on rewatch I definitely noticed it. Jon has many good qualities. He is my favorite character. But he doesn’t know much about political games like those played in kings landing. The nights watch didn’t have all the spying and blackmailing that Kings Landing did. They just killed people if they didn’t like them. That’s why he doesn’t really understand what Sansa is telling him. Hearing that Rickon won’t live and not to play games with Ramsay. Jon can’t understand either of those. Jon is too black and white. You fight and if you win it all works out in his mind. Sansa has learned the game and knows that it doesn’t work that way. Even Tormund says don’t as Jon rushes off to confront Ramsay after Rickon is killed. Remember Jon lost the battle of the bastards it was only won by Sansa bringing in the knights of the Vale. She had to play “the game” to get Littlefingers assistance. She sent him away when he first came to her after she left Winterfell. Jon’s rush to Ramsay destroyed the battle plan of waiting for the Boltons to charge at them and surrounding them on all three sides. But this is also why later on in the series other things happen when characters try to play the “game” they do in kings landing. This is what happened to Ned when he told Cersei to take the children and run. He wasn’t playing the game. He was being honest with her. And we all know what happened to Ned. And without giving spoilers out, everyone who has seen the whole show knows where it ends. We know which characters end up in very high ruling spots and which get a low position. The game of thrones lives up to its name in that way. Some people played the game and came out on the very top by manipulating things and other people paid the price for it. That’s why some viewers don’t like season 8. The writers were trying to wrap up the story quickly because they were offered the Star Wars trilogy. HBO wanted two more seasons. It could have been better written and more well rounded if they had taken the 2 more seasons.

I❤️movies&tvshows

Jon didn’t know Rickon was too stupid to zig zag!

Maggie Jordan

Fun Fact: George R. R. Martin asked the creators of this show to name Jon Snow's mother, before he would allow this show to be made. You're on the right track. It's still not in the books. Unless you look deeper. Ned's devotion is to family, honor, and duty; in that order. Love your reactions. Well actually, it might be honor, duty, family. Given on how he goes about things in S1. Honor to his oath to the king, his duty as hand of the king, and his family is taken care of...Unless by doing those things he is serving his family? I do admire his resolve. But he has been lying since day one, his one regret. So the story goes.

Balance85

Cersei has no claim to the throne. She`s not in the line of succession, she`s a usurper.

Tron

I believe we're meant to assume that Ser Gregor removes all of his garments and... well, assaults Septa Unella whilst he is unclothed. I think that's why she is screaming as Cersei walks away

Jeremiah Smith

We all love to hate her but you have to give Cersei Kudos to a well executed plan. Oh and your mods have their work cut out trying to keep any spoilers about the baby. This is the one case where reading the books would easily give you all of the clues. The show has mentioned everything to figure it out but you had to be paying attention to historical details that could easily be missed.

TigerMyth

Gwinnett County representing over here! 😂😂

Maggie Jordan

Arya was always my favorite character from the beginning, so you’re not alone! Also, wasn’t the music so amazing for episode 10? I did my final paper in an advanced music theory class on Light of The Seven, and it’s still the work I’m most proud of.

Maggie Jordan

The score to both of these episodes are outstanding... I Love how you've embrased this show, your reactions. Just a suggestion but be prepared for very dark scenes to come ahead...soak up these past two seasons. Looking forward to continuing the journey.🥰

Lonna Neil

That was absolutely crazy

Lenear Boyd

All the ones you mentioned are my top but Arya is my absolute favorite

Lenear Boyd

I like his character a lot, he would be up there too

Lenear Boyd

Man, unnecessary.

Matt Rumsey

Why would you do this when its so close to not being a spoiler... you should delete this and let the man figure stuff out on his own

Matt Rumsey

He almost got himself killed over Rickon who was doomed from the start. Sansa warned him to not do what Ramsay wanted him to do, yet he allowed himself to be manipulated by Ramsay on the battlefield. That’s bad leadership and recklessness. He barely made it out alive and almost got all his friends and allies killed. Edit: I’m not talking about the battle itself, but him charging alone to save Rickon.

Guy from the 80's

Its not a pointless death? He tried to rally what he can because he and what he rallied will either die one by one or together, because Ramsay wouldnt let them live.

Artur Vegis

As much as a despise Cersei I love the actress. She is amazing as Sarah Connor in the terminator TV series as well

Jay Owin

Stole this from a random article: Back in the the tenth episode of season three, Bran tells the story of the Rat Cook, a legend in which a cook in the Night’s Watch killed the son of a visiting king, cooked him into a pie and served him to the king. In George R.R. Martin’s A Storm of Swords, it’s revealed that it was Winterfell’s Old Nan who originally told Bran this tale, meaning that Arya has undoubtedly heard it as well. “The Rat Cook had cooked the son of the Andal king in a big pie with onions, carrots, mushrooms, lots of pepper and salt, a rasher of bacon, and a dark red Dornish wine,” Martin writes. “Then he served him to his father, who praised the taste and had a second slice. Afterward the gods transformed the cook into a monstrous white rat who could only eat his own young. He had roamed the Nightfort ever since, devouring his children, but still his hunger was not sated. ‘It was not for murder that the gods cursed him,’ Old Nan said, ‘nor for serving the Andal king his son in a pie. A man has a right to vengeance. But he slew a guest beneath his roof, and that the gods cannot forgive.'”

Jay Owin

More like living in Alaska and having a the Long Night appear. When Winter comes and the long night appears.

matt Henning

you’re so right ramsay deserved soooooo much worse. he should’ve been kept alive way longer

kallista

Did you accidently leave tyrion off your list?

Jay Owin

Love your watch through and watching you put it all together. I just hate waiting a week to get more! Season 6 was probably the best season of the show, 7 is good as well but as they move beyond what George RR Martin wrote and set off on their own in season 8 the pacing and overall quality of the show decreases. I enjoyed season 8 being a very action packed season, and I'm sure you'll enjoy watching it. They simply made some questionable choices that impacted how a lot of ppl felt about the ending of the show. Keep up the great work and enjoy the ride!

Wes

It's ridiculously hard for me to not say what I really want to say, but I will keep my mouth shut until it's all over with.. so, I'll just say, I love your reactions so much because of how smart and preceptive you are. Good day!

Maggie Jordan

Yes or when Cersie asked him, "was it just a rumor or something more" and Qyburn says, "More, much more". That is what they were talking about. Funny thing is the only reason this happened is bc they banned trial by combat.

Drewcliff82

I see the way you enjoyed Battle of the Bastards being shot.... this is why I can't wait for you to watch RRR, the action scenes are probably the best shot scenes in cinema history IMO

Billy

Yeah but who would believe the hw died and came back?

Ashley

His oath bound him to the nights watch until his death. Once he died he was free of that oath. The fact that he then came back to life is just a bonus.

Mikel Swart

Oh, and after hearing your top 10, I think you are forgetting some characters when you say you don't care about anyone else. Tyrion? Sam and Gilly? Ser Davos? The Hound? Come on now!

Steve Kozlowski

Regardless of how you feel about Cersei, that was a boss ass move. Taking out all of her rivals in one swoop was incredible. Such an amazing scene

Steve Kozlowski

Okay, I can give you the timeline of what you can't remember. These are NOT spoilers, this was all info from earlier episodes that you have forgotten because it becomes hard to remember it all, especially info that was given several seasons ago. But these are NOT SPOILERS. Lyanna Stark was betrothed to Robert Baratheon. Prince Rhaegar Targaryen took Lyanna which started Robert's rebellion. He and Ned went to war with the Targaryen's over Lyanna being taken. Lyanna was being held in the tower that you saw while she was pregnant. That's why there were three King's Guard outside the tower when Ned went to rescue her, because they were there to guard her while Rhaegar was off fighting Robert at the Trident. And there you go... put it all together...

Steve Kozlowski

Ramsey was so horrible he rubbed off on you and you wanted to pull a Ramsey on Ramsey. lol. Don't sink to his level. The dogs were great. And Especially starting the meal with his face.

TigerMyth

The battle of the bastards is what makes me dislike Jon Snow. Willing to die a useless and pointless death and sacrificing his men because he can’t control his emotions. He already got himself killed once and he almost did it again.

Guy from the 80's

Or at that point it was the girl still. Arya couldve killed her and wore her face right?

Hugobertram Wasenloge

She is even better in the books 📚 😄

gak9319

Might be time for you to watch R+L=J, it's on youtube, would be fun to see you react to it🙂

gak9319

I disliked Sansa not telling Jon about Littlefinger. They could've come up with an insanely better battle plan if he knew there was a massive army of mounted men willing to join the fight. Even with Jon charging forward like that there could've been less death on his side if they had all of the info from the start. And others might have been willing to join if they knew the Knights of The Vale were there. As for the baby Jon situation, just think of Robert's rebellion. Who fought who and why. Going forward it looks like we have 3 factions. The North which includes The Vale led by Jon, the Throne led by Cersi, and Dany's crew which includes Yara Greyjoy's fleet, Dorne, and the Tyrell army. I think Cersi is actually in the worst position of the 3. Her kingdoms are fractured and parts of them are in rebellion, the northern kingdom is independent, and she has a massive savage army and 3 dragons on the way. The north Is probably in the best position. If you include the Vale, it has a large skilled army, the white walkers can't get past the wall at the moment, the northern kingdom is extremely hard to invade so they could probably repel an army sent by Cersi or Dany, and winter is here so soon there should be like 50 ft of snow. They only have to worry about the dragons.

Joseph LeRoy

You can figure out who John's father is but you don't need to, it's all explained in season 7. You could rewatch the scene with subtitles. It basically confirms your inferences but it may give some more clarity. It was funny that you kept on going about Jon or Sansa having to use their feet on Ramsey. I thought you didn't like feet lol

Dasypodidae

Crazy talk. Arya was one of the best characters.

TigerMyth

Arya is bottom 5 for me bruh 🤷 honestly I just skip or fast forward her scenes lmao idk I can't relate to a little girl

Slimsycentaur37

I'd more or less assumed that this world had regular seasons like we have here, varying in intensity by region, but their passing and changing went without comment. What they refer to as 'Winter' was actually a recurring ice age, coming and going with a wide gap by historic standards but absolute blink-of-an-eye by geological standards.

Molly McAllister

Remember early in Episode 9 when Tyrion as recounting what the 'Mad King' was prepared to do? Of how he'd secreted Wildfire underneath various portions of King's Landing, including the Holy Sept? Remember an episode or two ago when Cersai received word from her new pet 'Not-Maester' who re-animated The Mountain? Odds are that word was 'the wildfire is still there'.

Molly McAllister

Exactly Andrew!

Lenear Boyd

I am from Long Island, New York. I hate Cersei. I hate Ramsay. I loved how Arya did her revenge against the Freys, masterful.

Lenear Boyd

Oh man all the pieces are there but you just didn't quite put them together and I am not gonna be the one to spoil it for you.

Ashley

I get that Jon Snow can rationalize leaving the Nights Watch but why does everyone else accept it so easily?

Ashley

Absolutely wonderful! that reaction to the dog attacking his face...Priceless! I've never seen this far in the show. It's a pleasure to watch along with ya.

Mister_Bleak

He is from Long Island and grew up there but he now lives in Georgia part of the year and Spain part of the year.

Drewcliff82

STOP WITH THE SOFT SPOILERS! "I could tell you the blah blah blah..." No! Just like soft snitchin'... NO!!! No! ...No. If you need a refresher google Robert's Rebellion GoT wiki, so background for you. Anyway, GoT Top 5 in no order: 1. Arya, duh. 2. Tormund Giantsbane aka Tormund Thunderfist: Tall-talker, Horn-blower, Breaker of Ice, Husband to Bears, Mead-King of Ruddy Hall, Speaker to Gods and Father of Hosts... His words, not mine. 3. Ned. Poor sweet honest Ned. You were too good for this world, baby boy! 4. Tyrion L. Lannister 5. Little lady Lyana Mormont.

Mike MIchelsen

Absolutely bro. Totally phenomenal.

Drewcliff82

Episode 9 - Imo the greatest episode in television history. The score, cinematography, acting, writing, costume design are so perfect it's insane. The episode before it was amazing as well and also one of the best episodes of TV ever but this one is just perfection to me. House Tyrell basically gone now outside Olena. Uncle Kevin Lanister was in there to. Love or hate Cersie it was a brilliant plan as everyone in the city that was against her was in that building. I was so happy when Pycel died lol. Can't stand that old creep. Arya's scene was so badass but the best thing was finding out Jon's secret. I may as well tell you this as many others are going to recommend it. It's a video called R + L = J. It pieces scenes together from season 1 to now to help you figure out who Jon is. You don't have to watch it if you want to figure it out on your own but there aren't any spoilers for the last 2 seasons in it. I just want to make sure you get the right video as there are some other versions with spoilers. This is the one. https://youtu.be/3xaspBsfgRg If you do watch it a reaction would be appreciated. Glad you enjoyed these as much as I do bro.

Drewcliff82

Mr B!!! Good reaction here.... 1. Are you in NY? Curious as you made a NY reference. Big Apple 🍎 ...holding it down on Long Island here. 2. Danaerys looks different you mentioned...Yes, so they had started to make her hair more blonde in tones vs. silvery. Not sure alot of people knew that but it could be what you noticed. Also HUGE kudos to the actress playing Danaerys, Emilia Clarke. She had three brain surgeries during her on this series after suffered brain hemorrhaging etc. Beautiful soul! 3. Arya feeding Walder Fray his sons....goes back to the White Rat story Bran told in the windmill that night to the Jojen and Meera Reed, Hodor and Osha. 4. Don't overthink the Jon ideas....you'll learn more overtime. 5. Hate Cersei or not lol...Lena Headey is absolutely phenomenal in this role!!! 6. The guy that played Ramsay was the runner up for the role of Jon Snow!!! Lol imagine that .....

PatronPioneer

Also we don't ask think Aria is the best in the show, we all know she is. .

Shawn Leaf

Ahh you are so close.... Jon Snow.... all the info is there, you just haven't connected the dots. .. I could tell you the one clue, even in the scene you mentioned that you missed... ugh... I can't wait to see if you get it by the next episode

Shawn Leaf

A note on seasons. It snows all the time in the North, and North of the wall. It seems to be more like regular seasons in a place like Canada or Northern Europe. But that's the North, and not really Winter, more like cold Spring or fall. In the South, places like Kings Landing, The Arbor, Sunspear, Summer can last for 20 years, and it can be longer than that between snows, if ever. Winter comes infrequently, but it can last years too... The Long Night was by legend, the longest, lasting a whole generation. And The Citadel at Oldtown, where Sam is, sends a white raven to every corner to mark the official beginning of winter. Also, kinda makes the Stark words more badass. A warning AND a promise. Like Thanos and "I am inevitable."

Mike MIchelsen

The opening sequence of episode 10 is one of the best in TV history imo. The music, the way it's shot, the shock factor. Unrealllll

Billy

I love when you go off about cameras/photography. Idk anything about that stuff. I love hearing people speak passionately about a subject they're knowledgeable in.

Ashley

Plus the Starks finally get a W for once lol.

Christopher Wichman

If you go back and rewatch the scene with Jamie and Bronn talking at the Freys; you will see that the girl that was staring at Jamie is the same girl that gave Walder Frey the pie (aka Arya). She was watching Jamie the whole time and not because she “liked” him.😂😂

Kamilya Freshwater

The one and only time you're a little happy to see Littlefinger lol.

Christopher Wichman

She was with RT🔥🔥🔥🔥

J. Hickman

Whooooo Ok so gotta do 2 comments for this one lol. For episode 9 - That opening scene was a banger right off the bat. Watching all 3 dragons in action together like that is amazing. And watching the Dothraki ride in like that always gets me hyped. That scene in the battle when Jon is fighting his way through is one of the best things I've ever seen. Low to the ground, gritty and almost suffocating like your right there. And Ramsey getting eaten by his own hounds is so fitting. I just wish Theon were there to see it. RIP Wun Wun. On to 10.

Drewcliff82

Lesssssgoooo!!!!
