Some of those who used bue and green lightsabers werent corrupted as same ideology Fully dark side turn ur eyes red when the maximum corruption has achieved. U can see in this movie Anakin only had yellow eyes which is mildy turned to DS. Yellow.blackish eyes means ur almost total corruption piace of sht, which will kill any one that come in a way. Fully red eyes means there is no turning back! Ever. U will destroy everything that even mildy just annoy you! Like if u say someone, that shirt just isnt ur style really, red eyed sith would kill that person in that place!

Jedi Code There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death, there is the Force. Sith Code Peace is a lie. There is only Passion. Through Passion, I gain Strength. Through Strength, I gain Power. Through Power, I gain Victory. Through Victory my chains are Broken. The Force shall free me. The Jedi follow the ways of Democracy. Their personal ethic is similar to monks forgoing intimate relationships. Such deep relationships can be twisted and manipulated, as we saw in this movie. Their ethics are individual. Had Anakin's marriage been found out he'd simply have left the order. The Jedi's core emotion is Calm. The Sith rule by Dictatorship, enslaving thousands of worlds and even destroying whole planets. They even war against each other, as their core emotion is Hate. I hope you continue your journey into the series!

There is a reason they call it the duel of the fates. Almost everyone who says to skip episode 1 says so bcause they can't stand jar jar bcause he's annoying but it's one of the most important entries to the saga. And watching it in release order is how almost everyone will tell u to watch it but it's not wrong to watch in chronological order either but u can't skip episode 1

Between the Old Republic, New Republic, Imperium, Sith or Jedi rule, not very much has changed for the common folk in the Galaxy (especially the further you go from the main worlds.) That's why there were so called Grey Jedi, who've basically opened their eyes and said "fuck you" to both sides. I'd also say that Anakin did bring balance to the force, as it was shifted to the light side for last 1000 years - since Darth Bane got rest of the Sith and shitton of Jedi deleted, making the Jedi believe that there are none Sith left, creating the rule of two and a plot that took 1000 years to finish, ending with Darth Sidious (Palpatine) getting absolute power and killing almost all Jedi.

Awesome side note... hate and anger drive Vader, so much so that he built his castle there, on the sight of his biggest defeat as to be reminded and refueled with the hate and anger of it all.

He said to be wary of attachments and to learn to let go. additionally, as Grievus mentioned early on, regarding lightsabers, he collects them from his enemies. This is why his sabers are blue and green. dead jedi most likely. Also, i thought these were unedited....looks like there's a skip or something between 1:46:44 and 1:46:45...something funky happen? Sorry if i come off as rude, i am bad at conveying intention through text. I only mean to be either inquisitive or informative. one last thing, LOVE your gripe about the magma and their proximity...pure gold!

Combine that with the ability to manipulate the Force, and a person who allows attachment to turn to jealousy and then to fear will lead them to the dark side. Literally Anakin fell in love with Padme, grew an attachment to her, had a premonition of her death, feared losing her so much he turned to a dark side user who "promised" to save her, which led him to slaughter a bunch of kids and throw the galaxy into a tyrannical Empire. Yoda was RIGHT! Love and attachment are not the same thing. this is a religious concept. something Star Wars taps into a bit. If you have Force powers, it's probably not a good idea to be very attached and emotional cause it'll lead down a dark path. People can say what they want about the Jedi being flawed and whatever, but ppl missed the point a lot. There is a reason Yoda says don't have attachment, but later when he and Obiwan sneek into the Jedi temple, are saddened with loss and feel sorrow when younglings are dead. Love and attachment are not the same thing. you can love and not have attachment. Your a trekkie, remember the Vulcans suppress emotion for logic's sake. think of that with the jedi kinda. The jedi suppress emotion because when it's out of control it leads to the darkside. But Spock still feels emotions. The jedi still feel them.

Remember, the Jedi's ability to forsee things had been clouded by the Dark Side (Siddious) so Yoda really had no clue that he was speaking to a father fearing the loss of his wife and kids. Jedi aren't supposed to have wives and children in this time period as they are a monastic order.

Episode 1 establishes force users have precognitive abilities not only in 'visions of the future', but like feeling through the oncoming future seconds at a time. This gives them the appearance of supernatural reflexes. That's how they can block blasters at point-blank range and superbly time grapple-hooks to jump into an open door before getting splatted by a falling elevator among other things.

2023-05-08 17:20:27 +0000 UTChere this should help explain a bit more of the lore to help you see a bigger picture, to use the light side of the force you must be calm and serene, it can be difficult to just use it mid combat because you must be focused on it. the dark side draws on the opposite or calm and requires you to be full of rage or fear. the dark side is technically not more powerful but it is the easy path to power. then there is Anakin's "greed". so the jedi order take children when they are hardly more than toddlers and trains them as Padawan's, this is to ensure they have no attachments and is the reason yoda didn't want to train Luke, he said he was too attached to the world. the thing with these padawn and even some jedi is that they can leave the order once they are able to use the force without going to the dark side, Anakin could have opened up about being in love and left the order on good terms living the rest of his life as a prince but we wanted everything and couldn't let go of being a jedi or his attachment.

There are some archs which in my opinion aren't that good, but later seasons do make up for that and have way more interesting story lines. The finale is some of the best star wars out there.

I still enjoyed the reaction of course; I just feel you could have possibly enjoyed these so much more and had a lot of your questions answered.

Anakin has the same amount in him as yoda does when he was like 6.... episode 1 explains this

Also you're questioning Yoda about attachment and love and jealously..... this is the downfall of the jedi.. they became so fearful of the Darkside that they went to an unhealthy extreme. The more into the force lore you get, the more you learn it's about balancing. The force acts like a pendulum. Being it so far one way, it settings that far in the opposite. That's how Anakin was born... but that's in StarWars lore. Not sure if you'll get into that.

But to sum it up poorly, Obi-Wan and Anakin have been fighting in a long grueling war for a few years at least now and they're at their peak warriorness in this film.
