2024-06-13 08:39:48 +0000 UTCFirst of all what history teaches about messengers? Its always bad news if u gotta send a messenger! That whats make even more Akhilleus supreme. ´´In this world you have to get by or die in a gutter´´ Leadership is an opportunity to serve. It is not a trumpet call to self- importance.´´ By Goswami Kriyananda

2024-06-13 08:39:39 +0000 UTCSparta or Troy have never been even proven that they existed as small nations in history. Sparta more likely, but Troy nah

2024-06-12 16:34:21 +0000 UTCIf you like this style of action movie, you would probably enjoy Gladiator as well.

2023-07-02 04:04:47 +0000 UTCIs it safe to assume you'll be doing the second 300 film as well? Will you be doing the other Frank Miller novels turned film? If so please don't do the Spirit, that movie is a waste of time.

2023-04-29 12:02:59 +0000 UTCI watched Gladiator in the world’s largest THX cinema when it came out. It was profound. Gladiator is without a doubt the best ancient era movie ever created.

2023-04-28 18:43:28 +0000 UTCThis was an adaptation of Frank Miller's graphic novel 300. If you want to watch another adaptation of his work look up Sin City it has the same stylization as this.

2023-04-28 18:40:00 +0000 UTCPlease do Gladiator its one of my all time favorite movies and I know you would love it because of your appreciation of history.
I DONT CONSENT TO MONTHLY CHARGES
2023-04-28 17:06:56 +0000 UTCWhy did you keep thinking Cersai in this movie. This is a completely different role.

2023-04-28 16:39:16 +0000 UTCLove this movie! Great reaction! If you love medeival battle scenes then Lord of the Rings (I know I ask for it a lot but it's MANDATORY, as you would say :)) will provide some of the best battles in cinema history!

2023-04-28 03:12:58 +0000 UTCHave you gotten any requests for Gladiator yet? Troy, 300 and Gladiator are my 3 ancient era movies I absolutely love. Not sure if this is where you take requests, my apologies if not

2023-04-27 22:27:42 +0000 UTCI remember lots of gravy seals became fan of Spartans when this movie came out. Started wearing Spartan helmet patches and started using the symbol on their YouTube channels and what not. Completely ignorant of the fact that Sparta got its ass kicked by the Thebians.

2023-04-27 10:24:23 +0000 UTCThe actor who plays king leonidas has said he did all of his own stunts as well, even though at first he had a stunt double the scene where he goes ham and wrecks the army at the end of the sea is the real actor himself.

2023-04-27 09:36:24 +0000 UTCPlease consider doing HBO's Rome. Top quality.

2023-04-27 09:32:11 +0000 UTCAlso, P.S. Just for funsies, the buttspike on a Spartan fighting spear is called a sauroter, or "lizard-sticker". The lizards being your wounded enemy. As the phalanx pushes forward and OVER the fallen... stabby stab stab, without having to reverse a long ass spear, or get your sword out. I'm sure the being trampled probably doesn't help either, but... The more you know!!! Rainbow...

2023-04-27 08:17:01 +0000 UTCBro... Yes. Leonidas and the 300 are why I have a history degree. Yes obviously this is hugely, and beautifully stylized. Someone already said, some of the scenes are shot for shot, panel by panel of the graphic novel. And I love it, A couple things that actually happened... Some of the quotes. "Then we will fight in the shade", "Come and take them." are taken as true, or as close as something from that long ago can be. It comes from Herodotus, the OG historian, probably the most honest, and factual of his era. Lastly, going to Thermopylae was a bucket list adventure of my life. Not really impressive looking. Not even near the water anymore. Just a stone marker that says, roughly "Go tell the Spartans, passerby. That here by Spartan law, we lie". Exploring a bit, you get that cold, goose-bumpy, jittery feeling that places like Gettysburg, and Normandie can give you. I hope you enjoyed the movie... Thoroughly. May I suggest Sin City next. Another excellent graphic novel, by Frank Miller. And the movie is highly stylized as well. You may dig it.

2023-04-27 07:29:32 +0000 UTCDamn mannnn, who told you to watch it in this order. You should have watched 200 first! Are you at least going to watch 400 next?

2023-04-27 03:28:32 +0000 UTCThis movie is SO EPIC!!! (and *mostly* historically accurate lol) Also about the sound in the Greco-Roman places, yes its likely a bit exaggerated for the film, but lets not forget they had a fantastic understanding of geometry, acoustics, and form. Roman forum or amphitheater much? Those areas intended to be a place to share spoken word (speech or plays), or to have extra 'gravity' to the setting (as with many temples and places of importance all over the world) via the acoustics and resonance designed into the structures.

2023-04-27 03:04:54 +0000 UTC300 is based on a graphic novel. Snyder really kept the esthetic of the graphic novel and some shots mimic scenes from the book.

2023-04-27 02:32:29 +0000 UTCCulture Phenomena is a bit exaggeration to me. If I had a top 10 worst movies I’ve watch, it’ll most like be on that list.
Sonof Peter
2023-04-27 02:27:54 +0000 UTCSon of Peter, brother of blasphemy, and father of falsehood. Just giving you a hard time, man, it's only a movie. But come on, surely you'd agree that it was a cultural phenomenon that still holds up today.

2023-04-27 02:17:30 +0000 UTCI know you bro, you're gonna adore the cinematography work in this one. Such an incredible movie. A fine choice, Mr. L. Boyd.
