All that being said, I had a friend who went through what she went through and I did cut them off when I felt I exhausted all resources trying to help them. But I still wont let anyone else just straight up shit on them in front of me. Eventually they got better and we made up, unfortunately they passed away from the consequences of the choices they made in life. One of the reasons I've only watched this movie twice once was on video years ago and then your reaction.

I also have a weird look on her, as her story reminds me of my own mother's.. Oh and the author of the book goes on to say in a later interview, Jenny expired of hepatitis

Do those words affect how the YouTube algorithm decides to distribute your content? Not a complaint, just something curious I've noticed about you that I've never seen other content creators do.

2023-04-02 01:45:42 +0000 UTCI think when Forrest started his cross country running, that was his way of processing his grief and sense of loss over the death of his mother, along with the hurt and confusion of Jenny leaving again after he asks her to marry him. In a real way, he didn't know what to do with himself for the first time in his life, and his future seemed uncertain. But, he understood on some level that he had to keep on moving. He had to get through the pain and uncertainty, and he did that the only way that he knew how to do- Running. Although this time, instead of running away from what happened, he was running toward whatever comes next. And once he felt like he was ready to move on from that pain and uncertainty, having worked through it for all that time, he returned home. That's my opinion, at least.

Luckily Forrest's mind was too pure for her to corrupt thus breaking the cycle in this scenario. Also the fact that little Forrest seems completely alright and will be raised by the better parent.

But I do believe that he was hes kid, they try to show it by him repeting Forest's manerism, like when they show the 2 of them tilting the head to the side when watching TV together, or when they were fishing. I thinks it was a way to show us that he was actually hes son, not that this in real life would mean anything, but in cinema language i believe that this was what they were doing.

The actor who played lieutenant dan is a huge supporter for injured vets and has done a ton of work for them since he made the movie. And when it comes to the running scene he says that his momma always told him u had to put the past behind u to see where u were going and he says I think that is what my running days was all about. It was him putting all of the pain that he went through in his life from losing Bubba his mom and then Jenny that was his coping mechanism. The majority of this movie was filmed in Carolina even the Vietnam scenes him on the bench is in Georgia.
