So he takes the sword by conquest, but also there are no hard feelings because there are no male Starks to weild it. Everyone thinks Bran and Rickon are dead.

2023-03-02 05:06:19 +0000 UTCI beleive the reason Tywin melts is down now is he was waiting until the Starks were fully defeated and he won the war. I usually hate recasts and this had me super confused at first too. He grew on me though and I think it was easier bc he hasn't been a character for too long at this point. As far as Jamie goes you feel how you feel and that's that. I'm just giving context into why he is how he is. He absolutely was right in killing the mad king though oath or not to save an entire city. He did lose his hand to save Brienne bc she grew on him but yes he has done a few bad things. I also don't blame him for attacking Ned bc he is very protective of Tyrion. That's his most redeeming quality for me is that he is the only one in the family that doesn't treat Tyrion like trash. That's my favorite thing about Arya is how she learns from everyone she encounters. Her family, Syrio, the Nights Watchmen that was taking her back home, Twin, Jaqen Hagar, the Brotherhood and now The Hound.

Shae is a problem, I don't know how but she's going to give me a headache, I see it coming. @molly explained the Jamie situation on Discord for me, I am thinking about re-evaluating my views on him lol. I think Arya can learn a lot from the Hound and it will help her to reach her maximum potential, I noticed the assassin's face on her when she killed the guy that had Needle.

2023-03-02 04:54:16 +0000 UTCAs far as the 2nd episode there really isn't too much to comment as the amazing episode speaks for itself. The reason Ramsey is named "Snow" is bc he is a bastard. Each region had its own surname for bastards. In the north it is Snow like Ramsey Snow and Jon Snow. In Dorn it is "Sand" which is why Oberyn's wife is name Ellaria Sand bc she too is a bastard. Gofferys death is by far the most satisfying to date. Watching him choke gave me great pleasure lol. As far as Theon goes I think he really wanted to react to them saying Robb was dead deep down but his mind is now programed to obey. Theon is pretty much gone now.

2023-03-02 04:21:25 +0000 UTCFor the first episode - The sword they melted down at the beginning was Ned Stark's Valyrian steel sword named "Ice". It has been in the Stark family for generations. Obviously it was a massive sword with enough steel for 2 normal size swords. Doing that and burning the wolf pelt it was sheathed in was kind of a symbolism of the Lannisters victory over the Starks. The Dario recast threw a lot of people off but I actually like the 2nd ones personality better. The other one always seemed a bit odd to me. Shae is being ridiculous at this point. You didn't wanna leave so shut up and accept how things are then. Pillow biter is a term reffering to a gay man. Meaning the guy having to bite the Pillow due to the pain of something 😕 You hit the nail on the head with Jon Snow. He is actually more like Ned than any of the other Stark kids. As far as Jamie goes I think the way his dad, Cersie and Goffery has been to him is making him realize some hard truths. Jamie is not a bad person at his core but his love for Cersie has the ability to make him do anything. It's almost like a crackhead. The end scene with Arya and the Hound is one of my absolute favorites. His journey from a miserable guy serving a shit king and having to do things he really didn't like to going on this road to redemption. He tried to help Sansa too and now despite the ransom thing he truly is helping Arya. These 2 make an amazing duo and are both 2 of my favorite characters.

Bastards from the VALE all have the last name STONE because of the Vale’s mountainous and stone-y terrain. Bastards from the IRON ISLANDS all have the last name PYKE because that’s the name of the seat of power in the Iron Islands. And Pyke seems fitting. Bastards who are from Lannister Land, the WESTERLANDS are named HILL. There are rolling hills in the Westerlands. If you’re a bastard from the RIVERLANDS your last name is RIVERS. No explanation needed. Bastards born in KINGS LANDING and surrounding crownlands and named WATERS. Because of the water around Kings Landing. Bastards born where the Baratheon’s rule have the last name STORM. Because that region is called the STORMLANDS In DORNE, the dry desert in the south, the bastards are named SAND. Snow, Sand, Storm, Stone, Rivers, Pyke, Hill, Waters. These are the last names. The only way to become legitimized is by special decree from the King. If that happens, you can have your father’s last name and inherit everything.

2023-03-02 02:06:12 +0000 UTCOk, here’s the backstory on Oberyn. It’s very important that you understand why he hates Lannisters. Tywin waited until the last minute to join the war. No one knew whether he was on Robert Baratheon’s side or with Mad King Aerys. He was sitting pretty at Casterly Roxk with his forces healthy and untouched. When Robert Baratheon killed Rhaegar Targaryen that’s when Tywin showed up in King’s Landing and sacked the city and took the side of Robert Baratheon. Now, Prince Rhaegar is Dany’s older brother who died before she was born. He was married to Elia Martell. Elia Martell was Oberyn’s little sister. She was sweet and kind. She and Oberyn had a bond like Jon Snow and Arya. Elia Martell had two kids with Rhaegar, a three year old girl named Rhaenys and an infant named Aegon. The Mountain and his men scaled the castle walls and entered Elia’s rooms. The three year old girl was dragged from under the bed and stabbed FIFTY times. The infant was taken by the leg and dashed against the wall. The Mountain rayped Elia Martell with the brains and blood of her children still on him. And then he split her with his sword. No one got in trouble for this. Tywin needed to show fealty to Robert (he joined the war so late) so eliminating Rhaegar’s heirs was his path. The children were rolled up in red cloth so people wouldn’t see all the blood and they were presented at Robert’s feet. Oberyn was off in Essos while all this was happening. He didn’t know and he came back too late. This is his first time back in King’s Landing since this all happened. That’s why he’s so pissed at the Lannisters.

Also, when you said you were taking these episodes two a time a while back I was glad that you would specifically see the ‘red’ wedding and then in the next sitting see the ‘purple’ wedding.

2023-03-01 06:51:50 +0000 UTCPersonally i would cut the blade into even pieces,stacked them, forge welded with heat and reshaped the sword. You shape steel and not so much cast it. If you were to open cast the swords like that you would have ugly bacon shaped brittle blades. Realistically as well, by the time that you remove all the scale, you would have a smaller sword already from the forging process. 2 swords i would say is extremely unlikely. Maybe a dagger after the first sword if you are lucky.
