2025-01-01 22:35:10 +0000 UTCIt annoys me how people perceive Catnis at the start of this series, like she's so awful because she doesn't immediately gush over Peeta- a boy she barely knows. It's very Patriarchal and old. Her cold demeanor is treated like she's just a B*tch who doesn't care and it's astounding to me how many people are so blind that they can't see why she is that way. She cares way too much and shows us that through her actions. Just because she doesn't giggle and blush like a school girl... That's what is so awesome about her. She doesn't want to pretend. She's authentic even if she doesn't mean to be. He basic human decency and desire to survive is seen as defiance by everyone and the poor girl is forced into a rebellion she didn't want or ask for and then folks get all butt hurt when she isn't thrilled about it.

Perhaps I'll take it upon myself to start pointing them out, since I know you'd only appreciate the awareness, and the opportunity to evolve. For instance, just here, I've noticed that you're assuming every 25 years they do the exact same thing, and that they put the victors back in the games, when in fact and they only ever stated that every 25 years they do the exact same thing by celebrating and potentially changing the rules. Making the games very different. Then there's a thing about the sponsors. You're making the assumption that they have the sponsors before they go in and that there's a conversation similar to what you might expect if talking to a sponsor. But they could very well the expected to Simply impress the sponsors beforehand so that somebody, on their behalf, has more currency to get them what they need, in the game. EDIT: okay, almost to the end here and, bro, she definitely handed that Medallion to him and called it "that thing" they talked about.

Since you seem to really be enjoying this film serious may I recommend Maze Runner? Similar style plot in a way but also action packed and really well done. 2023-02-20 11:56:54 +0000 UTCin regards to what happens to each year's victor...it seems they each get the tour and then become mentors to each future year from their district. i believe haymitch was their mentor because he was a previous victor. their obviously wouldn't be many...(1 per year, spread through 12 districts, with old age and other things killing many off i'm sure.

I LOVE your reactions and your commentary on the politics of what's happening and trying to piece together how it will all end. I will say the books did a much better job (understandably) explaining the reasoning behind why the characters are the way they are (Haymitch, Johanna, Finnick, Peeta, Katniss, Effie, etc). Why some things happened that weren't extra clear (ex. Peeta's medallion, Heavensby's reasoning for "returning" as gamemaker). And even why Katniss always has her full compliment of arrows. I can see that there are already comments here explaining some of the questions you had, so I won't be repetitive. But yes, please finish it out. ❤️ Excellent reaction, sir. Thank you!

It's not necessarily an act of defiance, although when the man was shot for doing it, it was seen as that. Also, You crack me up talking about the arrows. Afterall... If she ran out of arrows, she'd be dead. LOL

And only a few years later, in the first Quarter Quell (25th HG), the people of the districts had to vote on who'd be fighting instead of pulling names randomly. Absolutely brutal. Edit: Peeta painted Rue on the ground to mess with the gamemakers. He showed off his painting skills in the first movie with camoflague but I'm still confused how he got that good just decorating cakes in the most impoverished district in Panem. I'm choosing to believe they just love elaborate cakes in 12.

2023-02-18 14:32:13 +0000 UTCi think this is the best movie of the four. the quarter quell is different every time, the 50th games is the one that haymitch won as we learn in the book, and the twist was that double the tributes were pulled so he went in with 48 people. can't blame him for drinking so much after that lol.

Theres a video on there where she bags 2 hogs. first shot got a standing still hog, and then she made the most amazing snap shot ive ever seen and downed a hog running full speed through the forest. Very proud dad moment. I was with her in the stand and whispered to her that they would probably run left so be prepared. she was definitely prepared lol Her being 5'2 and 110 lbs handling a .458 socom shooting a 400 gr cast bullet is something to see. Her deer rifle is a Marlin 45-70, lever action. another big bore rifle. This is the same caliber that buffalo hunters used way back when. For some reason she shoots rifles right handed and pistols left handed. we may be long distance cousins. That would be great. anyway, i trained all my kids at a young age to handle fire arms, hunt and process game. a couple of them have no interest now and thats fine. i never intended to force it on them, only wanted them to know how in case of need. one of my daughters prefers the bow and hates the noise and recoil of firearms, but still hunts with the bow. Anyway, thanks again for the kind words. side note, i wonder how many of your YT and patreon followers know what a VTOL is. you keep mentioning it, but somehow i dont think many know what it is. I could be wrong.

2023-02-18 09:26:43 +0000 UTCOne of the things I like about this series is it follows a regular person who is forced by circumstance to be a leader and symbol for revolution and hope. Most of the time movies make that character almost god like and heroic in the actions and choices they make but here they show the struggle and pain and sacrifice an ordinary person has to go through to become that symbol. You should absolutely finish the series which is 2 more movies. I think each one gets better.

My family and i live off of wild game, fish., and gardened veggies. Our meat supply is 100%% hunted, trapped, or fished.. we could afford store bought meat but wild meat is so much healthier, and tastes better. As a member of the Cherokee nation this is in my blood and heritage. I am known as Hogman, as I specialize in hunting and trapping hogs. I go by Cherokee Hogman on FB and other platforms. My daughter Hunts hogs using a CMMG .458 socom ( I've heard you drool over the ,458 from time to time) with a thermal optic for night hunting. there are a couple pics and videos on IG under Cherokee Hogman if your interested to see the 458 in action. BTW !00% agree with you about the eyelashes, I will take it a step further and mantion fingernails seems to be doing the same thing. Outrageously long and silly.
