The intro will change whenever a new place is added or or isn't relevant anymore. They way places look on the map can also change depending on what's happening at the time.

They have seasons like we have, but nobody really much comments on them because their fluctuations are nothing compared to the disparity between 'Winter' and 'Summer'... (It's been fan-theorized that Westeros suffers periodic ice-ages that happen often enough that the next arrives within living memory of the last, and they last for a decade or more)
