Okay, first a brief personal update: I... have had a difficult 2022 so far, both personally and professionally. In addition to having a family member pass away and spending a lot of time helping a friend navigate some difficult life circumstances, I've struggled to accomplish any of my own goals in the past couple of months. That eventually culminated in me feeling so completely stuck that I started talking with a psychiatrist, and long story short, um, I'm trying out some medication in the hopes that maybe I can figure out a better mental health balance for myself. So far (by which I mean in the past few days) that has been going pretty well! Fingers crossed that things stay on an upward trend. I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your patience and support, and I really hope to be able to write more in the coming months, because I honestly love getting to see y'all read and enjoy my work. <3
And, well, speaking of writing, there's this whole story right here! The basic premise here is reaaaally all right there in the title for you, but bonus points to anyone who can guess the *extremely* specific meme that forms the core of the plot (hint: it's not the 'what if we put our beds together' one ;) ) I'm quite happy how this all turned out, and I think it's got some real Trolls and Tribulations vibes, so I hope you like it!
Also, I did have one question: once you've read the whole thing, can let me know if where the 2nd chapter ends and where the 3rd chapter starts feels like it is narratively satisfying? I kind of made that choice for a reason, but I want to make sure it's not offputting or disappointing to have a break at that exact point.

Thank you all for the feedback!! I spent some time wrestling with whether I could incorporate a way to keep Ashleigh's apology (which she's working up to, until these two idiots wind up interrupting each other with realizing what's going on), but ultimately I couldn't figure out a way that I was fully satisfied with. I think for the time being I'm going to go ahead and post this one, because I've been distracted with other ideas and have been using my writing energy on pushing forward with that. (which you'll be hearing about soon <3 )
