I think this piece was where spitballing and commissions with my pal Trydianth began to cross over into an unofficial collaborative vanity project around “Dunne Industries”; a sort of biomechanics engineering firm with an R&D focus on things like adaptable solutions for “berrygirls”—and eventually an array of hyper-sized conditions, berry-related or otherwise...Hence their company slogan of “Suiting the Niche”.

That was a neat idea by itself, of course, but as soon as we introduced the appropriately-named “Dr. Berry” (the lead scientist here promoting the BerryGirl Mobile Suit) and the guy in the hazmat suit (who I cheekily dubbed “Phil”), it started to become less of a general idea about a bizarre research firm and more like an on-the-job sitcom...sort of like “Cheers” or “The Office”, but with hyper boobs, muscles, and other stuff that would be a hard sell for network TV, but...

At least we established a premise and a company mission statement here 😄
