Admittedly, the 3 principle male OCs in this little cast of mine (Jeff, Zack, and Dylan) aren’t exactly as distinctively rendered as the women, if you even pay them much mind in the first place (who, who, and who?)😝 And since there’s no real story or narrative to this stuff—just a variety of scenes and illustrations with a cast of recurring characters—it would be easy to just plug the guys in as little more than stage props.

But there’s a smidge of structure to it (at least in my head).

“Jeff” here, for example, isn’t exactly Allie’s “boyfriend”, but the closest thing to it in this rather open-minded group of friends. There’s a little more of the romance and confidence of a relationship between these two (beyond their mutually-shared openness towards other partners). Jeff’s the guy who’s around for the “boring” stuff as well as the physical fun: grocery shopping, commuting, chores, lazy days, etc...Sure, they might not be exclusively monogamous partners, but everyone brings their own flavor, and Jeff’s the reliable, loyal gentleman for Allie (and a passionate kisser, for what it’s worth 😋)
