Added 2018-05-16 19:57:29 +0000 UTCEden and I decided long ago that on a canon timeline AU where there is a happy ending (cause dgm probably won't have one, let's be honest) Komui and Bak would have a total of 10 children. Which seems like a lot, but my own father has 7 siblings, and dgm takes place in the late 1800s lmao.
These are their first 2 kids: Evelyn and Lili Chang-Lee. They're the first of 4 surrogacy children, after which the rest will be adopted. Can you tell who was the biological dad? It should be fairly obvious hahaha.
Also did anyone notice that I gave Komui slightly longer hair? I like to think he'll grow it long again as he ages. Long hair silver fox Komui ya know????
Since Bak has both German and Chinese roots, and Komui has lived in Europe a while, I figure they'd raise their children on varied cultural customs. We headcanon Komui and Lenalee to have had a Hakka mother, so Komui's blue outfit and the red one (bottom left) that one of the twins is wearing are Hakka. Since Komui got to live with his parents longer than Lenalee did, I think he'd hold a stronger attachment to his culture, that he'd definitely want to bring to his children too.
I tried my best to look for children's clothing in the late 1800s, until I remembered dgm is anachronistic as all hell, so liberties were taken with these girls' outfits. If Timothy can have modern looking pants and roller blades, these girls can have fried egg hair ties.
