Elemental Magus: Flux Energy Binder
Added 2024-05-28 19:06:35 +0000 UTCFlux Energy Binder
You have learned to tame the fluidic nature of powerful energies, ones that do not exist in a permanent state but must be harnessed through careful magic and thorough practice.
You gain the Spirit Sheath magus feat even though you do not meet the prerequisites. This spirit sheath works like a normal spirit sheath except you cannot store a physical weapon within your sheath. Instead, you gain the ability to store and retrieve flux energy from your sheath that you wield as a weapon. Unlike other spirit sheaths, your weapon does not become expelled if you become unconscious nor if it is subject to dispel magic. When you draw a flux energy weapon from your spirit sheath, it can last up to 1 minute before the energy returns to the sheath and you must Interact to draw it again. You can imbue your sheath with runes as if it were a weapon and your flux energy weapon gains the effects of these runes when wielded.
When you first gain your sheath, you choose a melee weapon group as your sheath’s shape and whether your sheath holds a one-handed agile melee weapon, a one-handed melee weapon, a two-handed reach melee weapon, or a two-handed melee weapon, and it deals 1d4, 1d6, 1d8, or 1d10 damage respectively for your choice. You can spend 1 week of downtime to make a normal weapon’s sheath into your new sheath, gaining a sheath shape appropriate for that weapon.
During your daily preparations, you choose between cold, electricity, fire, vitality, or void. Your weapon deals damage of that type and your weapon has one of the following traits: backswing, disarm, finesse, forceful, jousting, shove, trip, or versatile (b, p, or s).
When you enter an Arcane Cascade, if you can always choose to deal the damage type associated with your flux energy weapon instead of the damage type it would normally deal.

Comments
I love this, Elemental Smith Magus is definitely a theme I wanna use later on. Also, typos: - Flux Mantle needs a duration - Fluctuating Spellstrike: "part of your Spellstrike deal was one that could deal damage" ??
