Notes and rules regarding Patron Fraud
Added 2015-10-03 23:57:31 +0000 UTCHey guys, I've been chatting with some other patreon creators and collaborators, and we've noticed an uptick in patron fraud.
That is, patrons who pledge, and thus gain access to patron benefits, but do not pay when cards are charged.
To combat this, I am implementing a new rule regarding patron payments.
Cards are charged over 5-7 day period at the start of the new month immediately after I make the paid post, and I will be notified when the round is complete. Patreon will make multiple card charging attempts in that 5-7 day period, so please try to have the funds in your payment solutions during that time.
If, after 7 days from the end of the card charging round, you have not paid your pledge contribution, you will be removed from the Pledger list, and will no longer be able to receive pledge benefits.
Please note: I always post a warning post a few days BEFORE I make the paid post.
If you have issues paying a pledge, simply pull out from the project, and pledge again when you have the funds to do so.
