The state of things

The first half of the Forest -> Varanar scene has been fully planned out. Scaffolding will begin today, and I estimate it will take until Wednesday. Then I'll write for a week, and next week Wednesday, you'll have a first update of the new scene. This will be a non-lewd part. Then, I'll probably need a week to a week and a half more to write the lewd stuff, and that'll be part one of Forest -> Varanar done!

After this first part is done, I'll throw up a new poll as to what to do next. I can either do the continuation of Forest -> Varanar, which will connect it to the main storyline once more, I can cook up the second half of Forest -> Varanar, or I can work on something else completely. But we'll see what you guys like best after this first segment is done. There're some pretty good things planned, if I do say so myself!

Anyway, let's talk about the elephant in the room. This month, Kobold Adventure's Patreon lost about fifty dollars in monthly support, despite gaining a bunch of new patrons. I don't know whether this is because people were upset that I did not produce content fast enough this month, or because they're simply not interested in the stuff I write anymore, or maybe it's just a seasonal thing. I have no idea.

I admit, October was not my best month. A bunch of real-life stuff got in the way between me and writing. Honestly, I feel like I underperformed a little.  But I'm going to try my hardest to make November a more pleasurable month, for both me and you. We'll get back up there, together. We're going to make Kobold Adventure great again.

What content did you get in October? The endings to the farmer's maid scene, the mean part of Ruby, Seki's character sheet, and his backstory. What are you going to get in November? Forest -> Varanar, at least the first part. The rest depends on what you vote for! Potentially either the continuation of Forest -> Varanar, which will contain a pretty unique section which I personally like a lot; or the second half of Forest -> Varanar which will be a more traditional setup. Both good stuff! Or something completely different! We'll see.

Ontop of the written content, I hope there'll also be some additional art to put into the game. I have four artists currently slaving away at Kobold Adventure. They're depicting scenes, making concept art and line art of characters and situations, and of course Sneaky'll be making another brilliant character sheet by the fifteenth! There's bound to be at least some results, I would imagine.

So, in short: this month sucked, next month will hopefully suck a little less. There'll be a brand spanking new scene or two, and probably some extra art as well. Hopefully, by the end of November, Kobold Adventure will exceed the 450 000-word mark, thus becoming larger than the three books of the Lord of the Rings trilogy combined. Wishful thinking, right?
