As part of the collaboration revealed in Day 1 of the advent calendar, I am very excited to share the Historic Sim Studios Ferrari 312B (1970).
Having worked with Dan from HSS a lot now, it is great to be able to share some of the work they are doing over at HSS with my followers here. The car fits perfectly with the track from day 1, the Modena testing circuit.

The 1970 Ferrari 312B finished second in the 1970 F1 constructors championship, with a big surge in the second half of the season and 4 GP victories. The car featured disc brakes on all four wheels, one of the more advanced aerodynamic packages for 1970, and was powered by a flat 12 cylinder engine which produced 440hp.
Our 1970 Ferrari 312B v0.63 is now available in early access. Currently the car features visually moving wings based on your setup choices, three accurate paint schemes, and the physics are very close to finished. We will be adding advanced CSP and Lua code physics features in a future update and smoothing a few sharp edges on the car, especially in the cockpit, such as the edges of the mirrors. Slightly longer term goals are adding moving fuel in the fuel lines and driver feet animations.
We are hard at work developing our 1970 F1 cars. Our BRM P153 is already in early access, the Ferrari 312B is now just being released, the De Tomaso 505’s 3d model is almost finished, while our Lotus 72’s 3d model is in the early stages. This pack is one that we are aiming to meet the standard set by the RSS Formula V8, with lots of awesome visual features, moving wings, animated drivers, and some incredible new Lua code simulating things like the water cooling system at an advanced physics level never seen before in Assetto Corsa.
Our mission at Historic Sim Studios LLC is to digitally recreate racing history one project at a time. All of our supporters have full access to everything as one united HSS Community. We've added weekly race events, and even a server that is up every day! There is tons of exciting historic content coming, and I am looking forward to an amazing 2024 filled with historic racing!
Until the end of this year, December 31, 2023, you can still sign up as a Driver tier supporter on our Patreon for just $2 a month, and you get access to everything! We just enabled full permissions for all Driver tier supporters. However... on January 1st, 2024, the Driver tier will be grandfathered in, and you will no longer be able to sign up for it. If you've been on the fence, I'd recommend you go ahead and lock in your $2 supporter rate here on Patreon.
