Hey everyone!

While I've been waiting for some final feedback on the Ridge project, I managed to find some time to work on Circuit of Wales and bring it up to standard for an initial release.

The Circuit of Wales was an ambitious motor racing circuit and technology park proposal in Blaenau Gwent, Wales, situated on the outskirts of Ebbw Vale. The vision was to create a world-class racing venue that could host prestigious events like MotoGP, Superbike World Championship, Motocross World Championship, British GT Championship, British Touring Car Championship, and World Touring Car Championship.

Unfortunately, despite efforts to secure funding from private investors and support from the Welsh Government, the project faced challenges, and the bid to make the circuit a reality ultimately failed.

After some encouragement from a fellow member of the modding community, I decided to take on the challenge and bring Circuit of Wales to life in the virtual world.

During my research, I discovered that there were several proposed layouts for the track, and different preview renders displayed various building designs. It became evident that a single, definitive layout was never 100% finalized. So, I took the best elements from each of these previews and combined them to create what I believe could have been the ultimate version of this circuit.

For now the pitlane, and pit buildings remain unfinished. As well as some other missing trackside infrastructure. The rumble strips / kerbs also need to be neatened up.

That being said, there is fully working AI, night lighting, PURE configs with the new environment shader, Replay Cams the lot.

Updates may be sporadic on this one, as it’s not a commission with a fully set time frame for release. The project to get to this point has been on and off for probably around a year at this point, if not longer.
