Ancienne Carriere - Fictional Circuit - 3D Trees Test

Hi everybody,

In my ongoing efforts to deliver exceptional and immersive tracks, I have recently spent some time exploring the 3D trees system, a fairly new feature within the Custom Shaders Patch and Content Manager.

To better understand its potential, I have designed a track that exclusively incorporates 3D trees, featuring 830 of them. I am eager to gather your thoughts on this. How does the track perform in terms of responsiveness and visual appeal on your setup? Your feedback is instrumental in determining whether TreeFX should be integrated into future projects and / or retrofitted into existing ones. Alternatively, I can assess if it is not yet suitable for use or too demanding on your systems.

The new track in is situated in the picturesque Lannemezan region of France, near the Spanish border. While the layout is relatively straightforward, it does feature some off-camber corners with intriguing entry points. Currently in its early stages of development, this track primarily serves as a testbed for the 3D trees. However, if it garners positive feedback, I will consider refining and expanding upon it.

Ancienne Carriere is French for Old Quarry - just if you were wondering!

As always, your unwavering support is massively appreciated!

Tyrone.

I run triple screens at 7680 x 1440with Pure Candy and medium settings with a 2070S and i7 so I have found 3D trees not really worth it but then I know my PC is pretty old now so maybe I don't count lol. But as with all your tracks I love the track, maybe you could do a 2D and a 3D version if you decide to continue the track development. Your Tandragee track is my absolute favourite of 272 tracks on my system. I hate flat tracks and love elevation changes which with my motion platform are an absolute blast!

Hi, The track base is very good, but, the fps loss is too much and I think for now, it's not worth using the 3d trees. Good job and thanks for your content
