Hi everybody! Yesterday we hit 850 followers on Patreon, I just want to thank everyone for signing up and sticking around through my track making journeys. To celebrate here is a bit of a behind the scenes peek, and your chance to help pick a fictional track to be made!
As I mentioned in my Update to Sebring 66. I often experiment with new techniques, and ideas on fictional tracks. Usually, these projects fizzle out and don’t ever make it to release.
I thought it would be interesting to share a small selection of these tracks with you all so you can have a look at some more of my work. So, I have decided to upload 3 of these tracks to my Google Drive. I will post some more info about each of them below. I’ll also run a poll, to find out which one seems to be a favorite – and I’ll make an effort to bring the most popular up to scratch and finish it.
If this proves to be a good idea, and there’s some good feedback I have plenty more in the concept pile to share. Also please note this shouldn’t impact on any of the real tracks I’m currently working on.
Just to be clear, these tracks are in no way near a finished condition. They only work for practice laps, walls won’t have collision, there’s missing object etc. They should be treated more as ideas than a finished product if that makes sense.
There are 4 images of each track in the gallery on this post. The Poll will be in a seperate post.
Anyway, here we go – the three tracks I have for you today are as follows.
Kinnerton Farm Raceway:

Based in the UK, the track has had several expansions over the years, going from a relatively small track based on a farm, to a large complex with several FIA Grade 1 layouts. The circuit has existed for a long time, and has had a theme park built around it. The track features some large banked turns as well as tight technical sections. Has night lighting for 2/3rds of the asphalt.
Due to the unfinished nature of this mod, it can be quite difficult to figure out which way to go, so really your best bet is to pick a layout for yourself!
Silver City Raceway:

Based in the US, on the Boston Hill Open Space area to the south west of Silver City, New Mexico. This track follows the natural landscape as faithfully as possible to create an interesting rollercoaster of a track.
There is only one layout for this one, and I’d recommend ~GT3 spec cars for a test drive. It’s quite lacking in safety barriers etc so be careful you don’t end up falling off of the side of the road!
Toranello:

Last but not least we have Toranello. This track is located just south of Imola (so in real life would be pretty pointless) but makes use of the stunning landscapes in this part of Ital.
The aim for this one was to create a ‘modern’ F1 style track, that would have massive elevation change. As usual, unfinished when it comes to walls etc, but as it’s a single layout you’ll be able to navigate easily enough. Another not ‘in game’ version of this track included a tunnel that went through the mountain to add a bit of variety. This could be bought back in the future.
So, there we have it. Please download these maps, and give them a test drive. If you feel like giving me any feedback and voting in the poll for your favorite, I’d really appreciate it!
