Oregon Raceway Park v3 + general update.

Hi everybody!

It’s been a bit of a wait coming but here is v3 of Oregon Raceway Park.

It includes more track-side details in the paddock area

Track mesh fixes to improve car handling, and to be more accurate to the real circuit in some areas

Improved AI thanks to a contributing Patron.

Reworked ambient occlusion maps for slightly more realistic lighting.

Colors and textures have been tweaked for a more neutral feel, everything is less ‘blinding’ in mid-day sun.

One other thing I have quickly mocked up is something from an article I found whilst researching the track... it's from 2008!

It mentions a 'stage 2' for ORP that has never been made. I've laid the (virtual) asphalt following the route from the map. I probable won't bother making AI for it as there's enough to do on Thunderhill! but is this something you'd be interested to try in game? 

Unless anybody has any more data, things like corner camber will have to be guess work, corner height would just match the existing terrain. As I say, all I've done is some quick work to test feasibility of the 'what if?'. But if there's interest i'd endeavor to do a decent job and upload it here for you to try :) 

I’ve been busy behind the scenes still trying to get imagery etc for the final graphics pass on Thunderhill but with the fires in California, people have been unable to grab the images I need. So this is the main cause for the delay on any updates to thunderhill.

Since it’s been a while, and the project has grown in scope I do intend to write up a kind of how to install/troubleshooting tips guide for my tracks, particularly thunderhill, as it relies on a fair bunch of third party addons for optimum performance and graphics.

Sebring 60’s is progressing well. There should be an update next week for that one.

I know a lot of you subscribe here for the real tracks, but I’ve also been working on a few fictional ones. I wonder If it is a good idea to post two or three preview builds here, then run a poll on which one you would like to see finished?
