Happy Independence Days!

Yay to Canadians and United States Americans!

To properly celebrate, you should eat at least one stack of maple syrup pancakes (waffles begrudgingly are acceptable) and a big slice of apple pie (with an optional scoop of ice cream atop). Please be careful and conscientious with fireworks! And if you absolutely must pet a bald eagle or a Mountie, be sure to get their informed consent first.

Happy Independence Days!

As an American, I celebrated with PF Changs Orange chicken and some frozen pizza to really capture our culture in a meal experience.

All you need is a flying squirrel? They're even harder to get to stand still than a Moose!

PaddyOFurniture

Oh. I thought all you needed was a flying squirrel for the moose to hold.

SYH

Hell yeah! FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM :0 But seriously I am glad we live in countries where we can't get jailed for lesbian porn

NinjaMan

It's hard to get a moose to pose.

PaddyOFurniture

That's a fine coat of arms. One question: where's the moose? :D

SYH

The pancakes aren't strictly necessary. You can have your Maple Syrup any way you want. https://www.country1067.com/wp-content/uploads/sites/28/2017/01/giphy-1.gif

We've got a pretty good coat of arms though. https://www.flubu.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2016/08/Canada-Coat-of-Arms.jpg

PaddyOFurniture

Oh definitely not! And the Dominion flag is not nearly as recognizable as the Maple Leaf. Simpler version: Happy Birthdays Canada & US!

SYH

Oh gosh! I should have done some better research on the two holidays. But I don't think I could fit all that on the wallpaper haha! :)

Davie Zwei

Love me some Patriotism.

Hooray formerly British/French/Spanish/Dutch/Russian North American colonies days! (Canada Day/Dominion Day commemorates the confederation of Canada (Ontario & Quebec), New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia into one entity under the British crown (Constitution Act (1867)), so it isn't quite an independence day like their southern neighbors'. That day would more correctly (but still not quite) be April 17, 1982, when the Constitution Act (1982) became law.)
