I've thought about it but like you said, it can be overwhelming and I've trying to stay baseline whelmed. Comfy even. But that idea of sharing some music I'm more familiar with is a good one! Ill think about how exactly I want to manifest that BUT I do have a playlist for my followers (just random shit I like) that I can post on here. I think I posted it once on my Community tab and then forgot about it lol

I did actually record like 20mins of the last "after hours" I had after Igor so I think I'll put that up here. As for the collection ideas, it was just an idea hahaha could take it or leave it. I think a deciding factor on whether I subscribe to a patreon is when they have early content I want to see that isn’t on their YouTube yet. But it really depends on the content. I don’t know if that helps, but just to contribute to your research data lol. I think the model of, “if you can’t catch a stream, the full version goes up on patreon, then an edited version of most of the content filmed goes up on YouTube later on” is pretty solid. I do think one off live performances are good exclusives, also just content that will definitely get blocked, like TS long pond sessions, but I know you have a different idea for how you want to do live performances already in terms of your filming schedule, so I’m honestly not sure for stuff going up sooner rather than later. Also, I mean this with lots of love, but I personally don’t care for collection type videos, no matter who it is, I just tend not to be interested in that type of content. However, I think it’s a good idea to put it out and try something different so you know if you want to do more content like that in the future!! I will support either way, even if it’s background while I’m studying or something. Anyway, hope you are having a nice break and sorry for the really long comment where I really added nothing of value to the general discussion haha 🤭

Early is great, but it's more about not missing the reaction to my favorite part of a song if it's edited on youtube. I've followed a lot of patreons through their taylor journey, but always tend to stick around when I like the person! Brat was great, I LOVE CHARLI and would love more! Would love reactions to most of the songwriter pop girlies honestly (Seeing men react to pop music positively is healing old high school wounds lol), but I think I have pretty diverse taste. I like rap, r&b, indie rock, and folk a ton too. full country not so much. I've been enjoying the Radiohead videos and the tyler the creator vid too.

2024-10-02 02:47:26 +0000 UTCPatreon has Discord integration, so perhaps if it doesn’t seem too overwhelming (bc it definitely can be), a Patreon exclusive Discord server for the community to more directly connect with each other and discuss music might be fun! Apart from that, I definitely agree with other comments about live performance reactions, especially since those visuals often get blocked and removed more frequently on YouTube than just audio seems to. Also, perhaps a series of posts/videos geared a bit more towards sharing content that you’re already familiar with, rather than just reacting to? I really enjoyed those moments during reactions where you would pull up a song that immediately sounds similar to you, or that one Tool x Taylor Swift mashup. It might be fun to have a monthly or semi-weekly post geared towards sharing those sorts of things with the community, maybe even in regard to whichever artists are the focus of the streams that week, where people could also chime in and share their own favorite related mashups, sonic or lyrical connections through other artists, etc.

Some things that I really like watching reactions of are live performances (taylor has a ton), analysis of lyrics, music videos!!, and basically any other albums.
