So after thinking about it, I think it's better to accept I won't be able to finish before next year as I planned, I don't want people to still wait until the last second without me saying anything. It's better to continue working on the update instead of overthinking stuff.
Currently, the update is "somewhat broken" and you can get stuck with some unfinished stuff so I don't consider it "playable" mainly because the "main quest" will be about how the Enslavement Curse affects the player and how it's related to all quests. I mentioned before that I was breaking the main quests into different parts because Yuriana's quest will be considered, in a way, "optional". I will explain a little more about it.
Once the player claims a cursed slave the main quest will start, there won't be a quest log about it but things will eventually change depending on other quests.
Are the debuffs permanent?
No, the way to remove some effects is to deal with what/who is causing it, for example, the Deep Desires debuff appears because the player has at least 1 cursed slave so getting rid of cursed slaves will remove it. There will be some ways to block the debuffs but they are limited.
As mentioned before the Enslavement Curse will have stages which you can say are the stages of the "main quest" and it will progress by the amount of cursed slaves the player gets.
There will be one thing that will be permanent once the player claims a cursed slave and it's about the player's "true self".
Similar to how the Enslavement Curse causes the cursed slaves to "embrace" their "true selves" and act according to that, the player will be able to choose that (or get a random one).
So why give the player these kind of options/traits?
The idea behind this is based on trying to add "traits" to the player that could help me set dialogues or situations according to the player's traits/true self.
When I was setting some options/choices and trying to push some "boundaries" in the good/evil/pervy direction, having all options available was kind of odd. This was mentioned before when people didn't think their character was represented by those choices so this is where the "true self options" help.

One of the things suggested was to add more dialogues where the player could just say what he will do according to a quest or a situation, pretty much to add some flavor to it. Similar to how in Ethel's quest you can tease Ethel about being paraded as a slave.
The idea with the Enslavement curse is that the cursed slave "knows" your true self because of your bond, so this also helps to set how they will react to you with idle dialogues or other comments.
The player's true self will also affect some options.
My initial thought was that the player's true self should be random but I think giving the option to choose work too.
The idea of choosing The Unpredictable option is that the player could have to accept getting a true self/trait he doesn't want, similar to how it happens with the cursed wenches. For example let's say for you, the player, your player character is supposed to be a rightful knight, you want to help and rescue the wenches but then selecting The Unpredictable true self you get The Deviant, now all options related to it will appear and you most likely won't like those options since it doesn't go with what you thought your character represents, you know it's not something your player character will choose but, maybe out of curiosity you will choose The Deviant option sometimes, maybe nothing will actually change and you will just get to say some lewd comment to a slave but that will mean the Enslavement Curse made your character do something he wasn't suppose to do and that's the idea.
It also could work in the other way where you may want to play as a very perverted character but you get The Altruist trait so the curse may try to change you, the cursed slaves will trust you more so maybe this is something you could use or maybe you could just accept you were always a good guy. If you don't like this kind of randomness and ending up with something you don't like you can always follow something that goes with your character, after all its true self is the player :P
I will also be changing some options to be labeled as [curse] which are kind of "neutral" and open to all player's traits, kind of implying because of the curse you are getting that option. As I mentioned when I was testing giving every option was kind of odd, like if the player character didn't have any identity.
I'm still tweaking how this could work, I think some options should be exclusive to some player's traits and I will develop these traits more like giving the player special powers/spells related to them.
Maybe I could add The Uncertain and set it to be the random one, and The Unpredictable to be every trait. Things could get messy and it may invalidate the idea of this so I'm not sure, maybe I will wait for how things work first.
Anyway I kind of forgot this was about not having the update ready, sorry again u.u
The next version will be 2.0 since a lot of things are changing.
So when will I upload it?
It will be unexpectedly during early 2025, with no special date or reason, I will continue posting stuff, stories, and thoughts and when the mod is ready to be used for a regular playthrough the next version will be uploaded. It will be available for everyone, no need to make anyone wait more.
