2025-03-07 19:22:30 +0000 UTCYeah the cuts are def connected imo! In a way they’ve both cut each other now… albeit Rhaenyra less directly. For Alicent’s sons.. yeah I don’t think she’s necessarily to blame for how they came out because she really wasn’t in the spot to have them or raise them in the first place. She was a kid raising a kid. How could she know? At least Rhaenyra got to have her kids on her own terms & at an older age (Jace being as old as Alicent’s youngest) so it’s very logical why she’s also the better mother. And as for the “sorry”, I think Alicent meant that she’s sorry she put him in the throne. Even if really it would’ve happened with or without her, she’s still sorry. Pretty sure the implication with Alys was that she perhaps poisoned that old Lord Tully. She said in 3 days tides would change and… well! Finally, remember in s1 when Daemon claimed that Mysaria was pregnant with his child? This is why she was so offended by that.
