Baela and Rhaena are Daemon and Leana's daughters, Lord Corlys and Rhaenys are grandparents :) Baela has been living with Rhaenys and Corlys as her wards, and Rhaena has been with Rhaenyra all the time. Wish we could see the daughters more :)

2025-01-23 01:30:34 +0000 UTC“ with his death the war of ravens, envoys and marriage pacts came to an end, and the war of fire and blood began in earnest” You are one of the best Hotd reactors everrr, I can’t wait for more but for now DRAGON FACTS 🔥: BLACK EDITION (Gonna be a long one) - Rhaenyra’s baby was actually her first & only daughter and was named Visenya. - In the Books, Rhaenys was ALWAYS team Rhaenyra. the breakout scene didn’t happen in the books but if it did, Book Rhaenys would’ve murdered every single one and laughed about it. - Caraxes is nicknamed ‘The BloodWyrm’ originally belonged to Prince Aemon, Daemon’s uncle and Rhaenys’ father - Meleys, Rhaenys’ dragon, is nicknamed ‘The Red Queen’ and originally belonged to Princess Alyssa, mother to Daemon & Viserys - In the books Rhaenyra actually responded to Otto’s offer by saying “Tell my half brother that i’ll have my throne, or I’ll have his head” - the dragon Daemon was with is Vermithor, he was the dragon to King Jaehaerys, Daemons grandfather. We saw him in ep 1 - The other dragon is SilverWing who belonged to Queen Alysanne, King Jaehaerys wife - The wild dragons are the Cannibal, Grey Ghost & SheepStealer, they have never had a rider.

2025-01-23 00:37:17 +0000 UTCI totally agree. The television show tends to lean into giving both Alicent and Rhaenyra more likable characters. In the book this was based on, both women are painted in a rather harsh light. But it also makes sense when you consider that the book is supposed to be a history written by a Maester in the future. And it would be very much in character for the Maesters to provide a negative viewpoint on these women in their histories. I also think it’s important to remember that the home of the Maesters is the Citadel in Oldtown. And it was originally founded by the Hightowers. So it is always likely to consider that the Maesters have a close relationship with the Hightowers and will look on them more favorably then any other house they serve.

Viserys said in episode 1 that “the idea we control the dragons is an illusion”. Vhagar is a battle-ridden dragon, she’s been in war. Luke’s dragon Arrax was terrified and also disobeyed him when he spouted dragon fire at Vhagar. Luke’s death is never easy for me to watch, the many times I’ve rewatched. Aemond has barely any control over Vhagar, plus those boys (Aegon and Aemond) might have dragons but they were raised much more Hightower. They have much less connection to their dragons than Rhaenyra’s side does. Rhaenyra lost her father, her crown, her first born daughter (stillborn), and her very innocent mama’s boy son in a matter of days. This episode really breaks my heart.

Then stupid aemond, using Vhagar, A WAR DRAGON, to taunt Luke and Arrax, decided to stop listening and just acted on instinct after being attacked. Remember what Viserys said in the first ep? About being able to control the dragons is an illusion? This was the perfect scene. A young, inexperienced dragon, feeling her rider's fear, attacked. An older, battle hardened dragon, reacted. Neither rider had control.

So in my opinion it would not have mattered even if he didnt say it because they wouldve plotted against her behind Allicents back aswell. Just my opinion about it ;p
